These cup draws are fucking bullshit I'm playing with Leeds United trying to build them up and get them promoted to the prem 1st cup tie I get Manchester United in the English Cup, end up loosing 2-1 in the 2nd period of overtime before the shoot out so I'm out of that cup. Few months pass and I draw Liverpool for my first match in the FA Cup. Draw 0-0 at home in the 1st match and go to Anfield and pull off a 2-1 upset. Just checked my calender and I drew Chelsea in a few days in the next round, fuck /rant
I agree with this sentiment. However, I did a career mode w/ Everton and drew Chelsea for EVERY CUP DRAW first round for two years. Four for four. /tweet
They said they were gonna fix it. I got promoted to the EPL with Leeds after losing the cup ties (Liverpool and Man U) and then I got Chelsea in the League Cup my 2nd year which I gladly lost, but I just beat Liverpool in the 3rd round of the FA. Sucks. Also is retarded that CPU teams field A teams in League Cup games.
This. I've only finished 1 season with FC Dallas, but are youth players ever introduced? Do I have to be a big club to get youth players? Cause if not, 10 seasons into the game won't have enough players...
I have Bury FC in league one now and we don't make nearly enough money to buy any players. I've brought in 110,000 from match earnings in 1.5 seasons. Thankfully I made a miracle play for Federico Macheda and got him on a season long loan. (his wages are more than the rest of the team's combined ) but I definitely miss the scouting aspect. It led to very easy money but they could've toned that down and kept it in. I do like budget allocation and actually making deals with clubs before negotiating with the players.
I have beaten in order Liverpool, Chelsea and now Arsenal in the FA Cup and I am not even in the semis. The board was happy after each victory and gave me some additional funds but it was like 80k or something like that. I better get an amazing bonus after I win the FA Cup and the EPL because winning with a championship level team is hard specially when Chelsea is still undefeated after 19 games.
As you win in the FA Cup you get more money for transfers and when I won the EPL with Leeds I got 17 mill pounds too so I was able to boost my squad quite a bit. I was lucky to get a couple of great loan players too so my squad now is pretty nice.
Just started playing this and wow is it terrible. I won the championship with Leeds and what is my prize? 2 million fucking pounds to make my squad EPL ready. Plus all the players available for loan are 68 or lower. Just seems like EA did a really poor effort with this years game.
I've noticed about 3 new youth players per year using teams in Sonata K league. What's retarded is that they were replacing players instead of adding to the roster. I mean guys I just signed the year before just disappeared. Also, the cpu apparently doesn't expand its rosters. I bought a few guys from my former team until they said they couldn't trade more because of roster minimum size. Well, 4 seasons later I get the same message. I got fired from Suwon midseason, went to Joenbuck the next season (and won the league, so sweet), then got an offer from Suwon the next year. wtf

Hmm. I thought I recognized some new names on Bury. Thankfully, they sort of fixed player progression now and you don't have to offer lewd amounts of money for transfer listed guys anymore. That seems to have been fixed in a patch. However, the board still gives you like 3,000 dollars for winning the Carling Cup. Pat on the fucking back, skip. Now you can afford new shoelaces for your shitty players.
manager mode has been shit for a while i used to live it like 05-07 i still play it but i don't even know why, they just put less and less effort into it every year it seems
I almost lost in the 1st round of the Carling Cup just now. They gave my 2 CBs straight reds on the same play. 1 was a legit red tackle which brought there guy down hard. Then my other CB tripped over their guy and fell into the back of another one of their players. So I was down to 9 guys in the first 20 minutes and took them to penalties at 0-0. Ended up blocking the last 2 shots and advancing. God that was infuriating.
yeah i definitely go pro in league two but it gets cheezy if you get one of those really fast like 75 OVR strikers that just run circles around most L2 defenders
I had to restart my Leeds one to take advantage of the progression. This time I did not use my Virtual Pro and I did not make any moves in the transfer periods while in the Championship to try to save money for when I make it to the EPL. I play on World Class and I'm in the final of the Carling Cup now.

Just won the Championship, Carling Cup and FA Cup with Leeds on World Class. Got like 10 mill to spend next season and bagged Lukaku. But I need an upgrade in LM, CDM and CAM but can probably afford just one. Thinking of bringing Wilshere or Gotze on loan and trying to buy a cheap CDM.
Anybody having trouble getting players that your purchased to develop? I bought Lukaku my 2nd year with Leeds and I have gotten the "well spoted" e-mail about him at least 5 times but his overall rating hasnt increased yet. Meanwhile other players keep getting better even the ones that I brought in as loan.

lol I bought the same exact team except I have Jano Ananidze instead of Kroos and I also have Jack Rodwell. and yea nobody seems to improve. it drives me fucking crazy. I get the same well spotted emails, but their ratings never go up.
I have Macheda, Tristan Bowen (LA Galaxy), and Mario Gotze (Dortmund) on my bench as well and they're the only ones that have improved. Makes no sense. I miss the scouting aspect of 09 and 10 and the fact that players blew up all the time.
I'm fine with them getting rid of the scouting because that was almost too easy. But they really need to fucking fix the players not improving. it's just retarded.
Really hate that they don't ratings adjustments during the year. I want Bunbury and Agudelo to be starting for me on my League One manager mode but they didn't progress at all.
That fucking sucks. I mean he is a fucking beast at 74 so I wont be getting read of him, but pisses me off that even my loans are improving and my keeper went from 70 to 77 already.
Lukaku already plays like he's 80+ regardless. But I would like to sell him at some point for a profit since I shelled out 14 mill for him.

what team you play with that you were able to get all these players. i got lukaku and a weak CDM and that was all my transfer money with Leeds.
Paris Saint Germain Sold everyone except Sakho, Nene, Bodmer, and Coupet. Loaned out the U-21 guys. Went crazy in the transfer market. Kroos and Hazard cost me 25 mill each, Neymar was 19 mill, Lukaku was 14 mill, and everyone else was loaned in or bought on the cheap. I'll have enough money to buy Wilshere once his loan expires, and then I'll just need to find defenders on loan. I have Zambrotta, di Silvestri, and Boyata on full season loans. Transfer market is obviously my favorite part of career mode. I am good at filling the roster with the guys I want.
oh well that makes it much easier. You should see the type of budget Leeds has. Yet I am first in the EPL and in the Semis of the Europa League.

Have any of you guys had the undefine glitch happen to you? I want to get Fifa 11, BUT I have had the undefine/players missing glitch happen to me in both Fifa 09 and 10 which has made ne hesitate to buy another fifa game
That hasn't happened to me in Fifa 11 yet so I think they've fixed that. That shit was extremely annoying in years past.
What would happen? In FIFA 10 I got to the point where I couldnt advance my career anymore. It just would not simulate past a certain game in my 3rd or 4th season. Sucked ass.

Randomly when you loaded your manager mode some of your players would no longer exist and would be replaced by GK's with no name and huge/undefined ratings. Shit was gay.
My best players on 10 always had no name syndrome. It seemed to be the scouted players usually. I would just sell them when it happened and let the other teams try to figure out chants for them.
another problem I've noticed is sometimes players just don't sell. Even players in the 80s - I can never get an offer for them.
This is the biggest issue I face. I tried to extend the contract because I noticed that they guys who did not sell had less then 2 years on the contract. That didn't work Then I tried to extend and lower the player wages That didn't work If you come up a answer let me know
I have no idea how it works. It seems like the non-user teams have no problem shelling out big money for each other's players. I constantly see Messi's contract on the move. Shit pisses me off when I'm having trouble moving Nene's contract.
