I cant gaurantee that I wont be running around in the corner chasing butterflies into an advert board
How is gameplay so far? Downloaded it last night but was caught up in the insane finishes for the Clemson/Louisville and Chiefs/Broncos last night and didn't get a chance to play
Good, I like it You pay if you call for it and aren't open from the computer. The cpu covers runs better than in the past and they'll stick a leg out or jump on balls going past them Keepers so far seem to be smarter
Wouldn't be the only one clemsontyger04 Also, Are Clemson fans the most unoriginal people on the board? There's like 50 people with Clemson in their name
Just typing @ then Clemsont there are 7 people who pop up and that isn't including Clemson tom who has a space in there
Just finished what will probably be my last career mode season in FIFA 15. Went the entire Bundesliga season unbeaten with Schalke. Finished 2nd to Bayern. Lost the cup final to Hamburg. Hell of a way to go out.
in the past FIFA has seemed to include all of the current kits at launch. this year there are several missing (from the clubs I checked out). even better, clubs like Celtic who had alcohol/"adult" sponsors in the past had blank kits. this year Celtic is without their 3rd kit so they only have white and green, and the sponsor is "The Celtic Foundation" logo. What a dropoff from the 14/15 Nike kits. Turns out they wore the kits with the foundation logo in Iceland due to a law against alcohol advertising. I might have to find a new club to use in career mode.
that is true, Celtic has had a blank front for at least the last 4-5 years. Everton had Chang the last few years in FIFA, so it must vary from each county or company. I'd always read that due to being an all ages game, that some sponsors would not be included.
in one of the europa matches last year everton wore a blank kit, but that is the only time I could remember it happening.
Strange playing a FIFA game where you do not have to worry about a dribbler completely out pacing you with the ball glued to their foot. Also the rewarding feeling of a well hit volley or header is pretty nice.
Admittedly I haven't played FIFA for like 8 months, but holy hell fuck this game already. Jumping right back into Legendary mode after my layoff I've hit the post 6 times and I have 1 goal not from a set piece. I mean fuck, man. The post bullshit has always been fucking ridiculous in this game but fuck this shit.
Played my first game this morning. West Ham United (career mode) versus FC Koln (pre-season friendly). 4 minute halves. Between the computer and I, 6 shots hit the post. Ended 0-0. Other than that, I love the game.
Played through the European International Cup and snagged a nice bonus to my transfer funds with Wolves. Straight swap of my oldest midfielder for Emerson Hyndman, then Dele Alli and Kenny McEvoy on 2 year loans and we are well on our way to Prem glory. Nice start to the season but had to pull a last second equalizer at Wednesday. Felt like a hard-fought draw which previous iterations never felt like to me. I like to think the gameplay is much improved.
Enjoying it. Haven't gotten much into career but between the demo and this morning I've messed with that draft thing a little, the skill games and pro clubs Really excited to get into career though
I REALLY like the movement of the players and the difficulty, but holy shit it seems as if dribbling is all but gone.... at least against the computer.
I've only played one game so far, and it was against the computer, but I seemed to have decent success with dribbling. Probably just beginners luck by me, though
Played two games last night and loved every minute of it. Guess I'm just that much better than you faggots
Still haven't had a chance to get into it. Fucking work is killing me. Looking forward to diving in this weekend to career mode and checking everything out Anyone get a ways into career mode yet? How is it versus last year?
gameplay is drastically slower, taking a minute to adjust. Should still be 5 star in seasons fairly shortly
You guys are bitching that dribbling is more difficult? I personally love that it requires me to pick out better passes. Last year, you could be down a goal and just have anyone on the pitch put in a heroic effort and dribble the length of the pitch to score.
I havent played a ton, but I think it definitely plays more 'true to life' with regards to dribbling and the ball bouncing around in general.
Still did not purchase because I am up against some exams for work. With that being said, I like that. My only issue with that has ever been the computer's ability to run to the fucking ball when you are not controlling said player on your team. Even if they and had arbitrary yellows dished out, I would okay with that. Just get to the ball like real life.
Passing is seems considerably less precise and more realistic so far, but I've only played a few games. God I'm going to be a sucker for draft mode in FUT if we don't get a PS4 club going.
I am nearing the end of August 2015. Gameplay/Presentation/In Game/etc: - the BPL presentation package is as much an improvement over 15 as it was such a welcomed addition in FIFA 15. Many more story lines, information, details, etc are integrated. They broke transfer news (not the already established transfers like Cech to Arsenal) in the middle of my last match. - I thought the number of fouls/cards in FIFA 15 was fairly accurate, certainly relative to 14 and earlier. In 5-6 matches Ive seen just a few fouls, and maybe 1 yellow. - the preseason tournaments are cool. I played in the USA tournament with Barca, BVB, Roma, Juventus, Portland, Columbus, and the last club escapes me (maybe Porto). Had Barca, Roma, and the ? club in my group, while the 2 MLS clubs were in the other group. The tournament begins in early July, and all my best players immediately went on Int'l duty. My first match was against Barca, somehow they were the least challenging club despite only missing Messi and Neymar. - gameplay is more enjoyable, passing, buildup, and midfield play are emphasized. the ball bounces around much more, I always felt that in the past each pass was delivered with pinpoint accuracy. Rosters: - expanded to 52 players. Transfers: - the entire transfer system is improved, but I havent identified all of the specific nuances yet. - I have found it easier to sell/loan my unwanted players than in the past. I would often find myself with talented youth wanting out of their deal unless they were promoted, but then they'd wind up buried at the bottom of my roster. I am playing with West Ham this year (ditched Celtic due to their hideous kits), and they have a handful of marginal older players and youth who have underwhelming potential. - transfer fees and occurrences were supposed to be tweaked to be more in line with real life. I'd say the fees are, but clubs do not carry immense depth like in the past (last year Barca bought Rooney and Pogba right away). Bayern sold Lewandowski, Gotze, and Alaba by mid-August. Scouting: - Scouts make suggestions and when you start career mode for the first time, they are already looking to fill positions of weakness - The time to scout players is MUCH shorter, once a scout has identified a player they have a range for each attribute and it takes maybe a week to fully scout the player. before, itd take weeks, and when playing in the Champions/UEFA leagues or Int'l tournaments, one would have to guess future opponents in order to have any idea what the opposing team look like. Youth: - maybe its just me, but it took several re-loads before finding a 5/5 scout. - in the past I'd scout the USA exclusively and find quite a bit of talent as the system seemed to churn out the same # of high potential players regardless of country. this year that might be different as its certainly cheaper to scout the USA than Brazil/Spain/Germany/etc. I have yet to receive my 1st scouting report though, so if that remains the case is TBD. Training: - a nice addition, I am tired of playing the drills each week and sim them only. - youth players can be trained, which is pretty exciting. I play career mode to build up my club as much as the USMNT.
I have yet to play a match but did my first solo draft last weekend. Took Messi as my captain and got TOTW Ronaldo as my LW. the premier tournaments pay $11-12M
The thing that bugs the shit out of me in addition to how hard it is to score is the computer now plays possession. With 6 minutes halves, it makes it insanely difficult as they dick around with it in the back for a third of the game.
How is it? I don't know if I should get for PC since that's all I play now or for 360 and have to get Xbox live again to play online. FIFA was always my getaway from sitting at the PC....that sounds terrible.
If you just sim a few days the scouts change. The best I had was 3* and I simmed a few days to get to my preseason tournament and there was a 5*. Simmed a few more and got another. Have one set up in USA for 9 months and the other in Spain for 6. Going to get Hull promoted then I'll probably be offered Arsenal and take it because that seems to happen every year no matter what club I take and promote them. 2nd or 3rd season Arsenal wants me to replace Wenger
yea, I waited until mid-August (6 weeks) until I began to reload the file and sim through the new week. I think the entire time I waited, I saw a 4/5 and a 5/3 scout, 1-2 had a 4/3 or lower combo, the rest were all under 3/3s. Could be recency bias, but I thought the previous years produced better youth scouts. as I expected (from what many reported), any scout you hire is replaced by one of equal quality. naturally once I find a 5/5 scout, a 5/5 replaces him. I was tempted to hire a 2nd/3rd scout, but I had a fairly limited transfer budget and needed to sign a fullback or two.
I turn off the initial summer window so rosters are real then use the funds for scouts. That isn't true about scouts being replaced by the same level scout because I would've hired a 3rd right away. As it is I waited a bit and then had 2 more pop up at the same time. Added a scout in France
