Not sure it matters enough to start a new thread but..... FIFA 17 first teasers are out and with a new journey mode and a switch to the frostbite engine https://www.easports.com/fifa/the-journey
No, Fifa 14-16 used the ignite engine. The frostbite engine was used for all the Battlefield games, if you ever played any of those.
I've never understood the appeal of Ultimate Team so I'm happy they're actually putting in effort on something different. Only a company as evil as EA would use the freemium gaming model for a game that costs 60 dollars to own.
Played beta yesterday. So far i think its an upgraded fifa 16. Smoother, better graphics. No major changes.
EA ha started releasing ratings. They did top 20 player ratings for Serie A and 10 of the top 14 were Juve players. 8 of the top 10 in Ligue 1 for PSG 14 of the top 20 for Bayern in Bundesliga (including 10 of the top 11, only missing #5 Reus) In EPL top 20 Chelsea and Arsenal have 5 each, City 4, United 3, Spurs/Liverpool/West Ham 1. La Liga is 9 for Real, 8 for Barca and 3 for Atletico
Let's wait and see what they have Harry Kane listed as before we make statements like this. 88 or lower and we riot.
Bayern: Lewandowski 90 Costa 84, Muller 87, Robben 87 Thiago 84, Vidal 87 Alaba 87, Boateng 90, Hummels 87, Lahm 88 Neuer 92 Bench: Alonso 84, Ribery 86, Martinez 84 Juve: Dybala 85, Higuain 88 Marchisio 86, Pjanic 85, Cuadrado 82 Sandro 84, Barzagli 86, Chiellini 88, Bonucci 87, Alves 85 Buffon 88
They have everything. Top striker, check 5* skill guys, check Pace for days on the wings, check Stifling back line, check Best keeper, check You also can go more defensive or more attacking based on the subs (or position versatility of starters and subs) Costa and Ribery I believe were among the top 10 dribbling ratings. Costa and Thiago are 2 of the highest rated guys with 5* skills Best CB pair in the game (along with Chiellini/Bonucci) Best FB pair in the game
Do you do EA Access, is it only a monthly subscription? Is there any other way to get the game early without having it?
It's $5 for one month I believe if you just wanted to do it for a month. $30 for a year. It's the only way and worth it to me. You also get 10% off online purchases so if you download the game you'll save 10%. Or if you buy disc, if you have EA Access for $30 you can buy the disc now and then when FIFA 17 hits the EA Access vault around April you can sell the game for $20-$30
Yeah you pay it upfront and then they will send you an email 2-3 weeks before its renew date to remind you to cancel or it will auto renew
I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say EA Access may be the best thing that mostly shit company has ever done.
I've got some work to do before this drops. Trying to get Pompey into the Premier League on FIFA 16. Finishing up my League One campaign while also trying to win the Europa final. That means Champions League as I make my debut in the Championship. Glorious.
You can fake a throw in now by doing the fake pass buttons (X then A on XB1 and Square then X on PS4). Didn't know this was added in. Was covering a guy and cpu fake throw straight, I left the guy down the line then the threw it down the line. I got excited
I think Ozil is a great player but being the 12th highest rated player with an 89 rating seems a little high. I doubt there are many non Arsenal fans that would prefer Ozil over players he's ranked higher than like Griezzman, Iniesta, Hazard or De Bruyne.
I've been thinking recently about if agents have ever attempted to bribe the people in charge of assigning the players ratings for a more favorable rating. It's all become so massive that perception can become reality and a players star power gets a bump solely for that reason. Victor Ibaro is dogshit. He's got like 20 career goals but he has been consistently rated in the low 80's for several years. He got a shot at Roma and after not even scoring once for them he got a move to the Premier League to Watford. That lasted four barren matches before being sent back to Colombia. Nobody would know who he was if not for his FIFA ratings.
I only played on match and the biggest difference I noticed was defense. Positioning felt better. Also passing seemed crisper but there were a few times I was sprinting and had an open pass but the pass was late as it felt like it took too long for the player to gather himself or catch up to the ball. Set pieces are different but I only had corners. I scored from one. I also felt like players didn't feel as shifty, cuts weren't as effective. Take all my comments with a grain of salt. I can't remember one FIFA demo I liked. I usually hate them as by the time the demo is out I'm so used to the previous years game play that is hard to adjust.
I'm not suggesting it's a rampant problem but with EA and soccer agents both being money hungry scumbags, I would be shocked if a proposition like this has never occured. It's basically free money for EA for doing next to nothing (which is their M.O.) and an amazing marketing ploy for the agents player.
Would pay money to watch a negotiation where an agent says "but he is an 86 ovr in FIFA! Have you seen his pace rating?!?!"
Played the demo for the first time this morning. My initial impression was that the game is more realistic but when the game ended and branislav Ivanovic was named man of the match it made me rethink the realism factor.
