The journey stuff looks good, sucks that you are limited to one guy. My last name is Hunter, so I guess if I pretend I'm black it will be immersive.
even in the full version you're really limited to Alex Hunter on Manchester United? there's no variation? I assumed you'd be able to create a guy and start with different teams. I figured that's why interactions were with other made up players and that generic assistant coach and not actual Man United players or Mourinho.
Yeah just him I believe. I laughed when your tiny friend Walker starts at striker over Ibra against Chelsea, like Ibra wouldn't choke that little bastard out in the dressing room before the match; unrealistic imo.
After experiencing life as the 6'3" white PG, Frequency Vibrations, with black parents and twin black sister I really empathize with Kaepernick's movement.
I believe it's only limited to EPL teams. So it doesn't have to be United only. Otherwise I wouldn't play it.
So I went ahead and did the EA Access for $30 a year. My question is how to properly order FIFA 17 to get it on 9/22 because every time I click on the offer within FIFA 16 or the App Store it says available 9/27. I went in the EA Access app and there wasn't an option to pre-order. Do you just wait till 9/22 then?
If you're doing the trial then it's not really available until 9/22 to load and play. If you preorder then it will be installed ahead of time. Preorder through the Xbox store. You should also see a discount because of the ea access membership.
Just the CPU. But we are just a few days away from EA Access trial and that is full game for 10 hours
I kinda wish that if you have EA Access and preordered that you'd just get the full game and not the limited time trial.
Same. I've timed it so it hasn't been an issue but it's pretty much meant only playing pro clubs with it
NBA2k17 looked like they allowed pre-order full access like 5 days in advance. All you get for pre-ordering Fifa is stupid FUT things.
They are doing early access for games but only if you buy the most expensive. Gears 4, Forza 3, BF1. All doing it. I just don't get that if you have EA Access why they can't do that too.
Played a lot more games this weekend. Tried using all the top teams available. Few more thoughts below: Favorite teams to use: Real Madrid, Chelsea, Bayern and Man City in that order. I use the 4-1-2-1-2 (wide) formation so a good DM is critical. Madrid doesnt have that in the game so I had to tweak the formation a bit to cover in midfield but Ronaldo, Bale, Benzema and James up top was ridiculous. Kante is insanely fast. The game feels better, it's hard to explain but the movement feels more fluid, defense stays in shape better (I hated how out of shape my fullbacks and DMs would be in 16) and reactions and tackles make more sense. Also size finally matters so big forwards are really good, I scored two goals with Costa where he shielded the ball and did a turnaround for a quick strike and another where he made a run after winning position and springing wide open similarly. CPU makes better runs for you too. I'm still getting used to the new animations, especially on cutbacks and my complaint about passes taking too long while sprinting is still there. Crosses are better too, but CPU overuses them and that's pretty much the only way they scored on me on Pro difficulty. On world class I beat the shitty Japanese team easily with Real but had a scoreless draw between Chelsea and Man City. Can't wait for 9/22 now.
Would anyone be interested in a 1v1 tournament? I remembered we did one a while back but don't think we sustained itself.
Played one out to completion with a bunch of other MB'ers a couple weeks ago, should be pretty easy to get numbers when the game comes out.
I'm down. Last one I organized we limited the star rating of the clubs to make it more fair. I think we made it max 4 stars.
Same here although I scored several times on corner, mostly on headers but it was cool getting a nice header saved by the keeper but having a rebound that you could actually kick and score on. Happened twice.
I'm excited about The Journey, hopefully it's just the beginning to a new game mode and they eventually let you customize the player and pick more than just EPL teams. Should allow to start at League Two or in other countries and work your way up to EPL/La Liga.
I believe they allow you to sign from all EPL clubs, not just certain ones. Also, the interviews I've read, they hinted that if your performance is bad, you could be sent to lower leagues as part of the story. But in those interviews they were being pretty vague, so I could have been reading more into it.
They are on record or I saw you could be sent out on loan to Newcastle or Norwich and one other club if the story dictated it.
The last one we did you didn't have a set team you just matched up based on the home team. You also couldn't use a team more than once. It was enjoyable.
Yes I would be interested in a sex box 1 tournament. Also is the ea access game trial active at midnight tonight or what.
Also played the demo version of the journey and was shockingly entertained by just that small portion. Will def give it a play for a while.
ah your right it's the 22. I guess I was thinking it was the Tuesday before release. Dammit that makes me sad.
Oops set up one that we did of 16 teams and it went very well. Mad Puto wanted to even expand that to almost a Euro/WC level. We did 16 team tourney. 2 legs where home team chose their team and away team had to match star level. Clubs only, no national teams. No restrictions or ban of clubs other than that. You could only use a club once so if you made the finals you would've had to use 8 diff clubs. Watson took the crown over Mad Puto.
it was miserable, per usual. I'm of the opinion that drop in pro clubs is the most upsetting experience you can have in a popular online video game
Oh that would suck. It's supposed to be the full game. If so I'll get some time in other game modes though
From the EA site FIFA 17 is changing the game, and EA Access members can see how first with the FIFA 17 Play First Trial. We're not talking a demo – get full access to the game for 10 hours and start building your FUT team five days before launch.
