Mine was this gem I had bought it that spring and played the hell out of it. Ronaldo, Gabriel Batistuta, and Alan Shearer were automatic to score goals.
My first as well. Blur-Song 2 is the song at the opening iirc. Loved indoor mode and being able to do anything with your players like sliding the goalie for a red.
cant find a video, not sure what it was called on the original nintendo game boy fifa international? fifa soccer? world cup soccer?
Whatever that one was called, I had it as well. Very shitty controls but I remember you could score with your keeper from your box pretty easily. That was my first game, then didn't have another soccer game until World Cup 2006 on ps2.
props to Taques for posting one of the best soccer games ever made. I really dont remember what was my first soccer game ever, I know it was definitely before the FIFA series. I also played an amazing arcade type soccer game for Nintendo where you could do special bicycle kicks and kill the players on the opposing team....there were different levels like an ice level and desert level. Man I wish I could find that game.
the GOAT if I ever had an arcade in my basement it'd be this, The Simpsons, Turtles in Time, and Super Shot
this is the game I was referring to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDWI5FOneLs&feature=related
First one I played was FIFA 99 I think with my cousins on N64. Then got 2000 on PSX the next year. FIFA 2000 was the tits.
I loved this game. I would play for hours in the summer. I hated playing on the ice, but the ability to kill players was always fun.
I remember finding this game tucked away in my parents' hiding spot before christmas one year. I opened it, played a couple of games and carefully put it back.
I used to play it with these Russian kids up the street from me. Forgot about that game until this thread.
Amazing game. So many hours of playing with my cousins. I am trying to find 2 arcade soccer games I loved growing up. One was played on a table top arcade I will try to post pics once I get home to see if any of you played them.
