First game I've watching live in a while. Fuck Fulham are getting outplayed. How many times are the defenders going to hit weak back passes that qpr picks up and fires at goal? Already dodged a couple bullets.
replay of Fulham swansea is on fsc in a couple hours. Throughout the day fsc or fsc+ show most of the games you just have to avoid seeing the scores before to watch it. I bet the game today so didn't have the patience to wait to watch it.
So 5 games left, 8 points clear. Seems we're pretty safe. Not really sure what we can do this summer to improve at all besides replacing Kit. This season has sucked and been so hard to follow being in the Championship.
Huge win this morning. It appears Millwall would have to win their last 3 and overcome a -10 goal differential for us to not stay up. Never thought we'd be in a relegation battle this year.
no direction. Magath royally fucked this team last season and early this one and his lineups were ludicrous. Veteran solid guys like Rodallega and Ruiz weren't even on match day lineups much less on the bench early in the season. Symons hasn't had a lot of time to sort things out since coming back but most want him gone now. We have a bunch of good young prospects if we can hold on to them. I read this morning that Chelsea could go after Bettinelli which wouldn't be so bad if we still have Joronen, whose only 22. Hyndman, Woodrow, Dembele and Roberts will all still be 20 or younger and Christensen will be 21
McGath totally fucked this team. It's one thing to go young but he sold out on "young talent." It would've been on thing to go with young guys like Woodrow and Roberts and Dembele but he should've kept guys like Sidwell, Ruiz, Rodellega and Hangeland to go along with Parker and mesh with those younger guys. Instead he pushed all those guys away, sent Schwarzer and David Stockdale away and left us with an overpriced McCormick who has been good but still it's left them with a bunch of young dudes who weren't ready to carry the weight of once was a premier caliber squad. Instead we have a bunch of slapdicks in goal, Hutchinson is the only decent CB and he's very suspect, Burn still needs to develop and there's a bunch of guys who aren't ready playing on the wings and up front. Sidwell and Parker in the middle along with Ruiz on one wing And Rodellega up front to take some attention and pressure off of McCormick would've had this team in the top 6 in my opinion. Add Hangeland to help anchor and add experience to the middle defense and guys like kancilick and Allow Roberts to learn on the wings would've been a good mesh. Instead we've got a bunch of young dudes and dug a huge hole that they couldn't get out of to start the year. Will probably have to sell Roberts because the dam and will be too much and they took a fuckig bath on Mitroglou so ours last two "big buys" have done jack shit. Meanwhile we have no experience and a wi be left with a bunch of turnover this next year. Symons might be retained but if he isn't it wi be the 5th manager in two years which doesn't reall do a whole lot for continuity. Our only hope is that Khan continues to spend a bunch of money and Fulham can buy themselves out of McGath's mess. If not, they're gonna be in the championship for a bit.
I give symons credit because this club easily could've been relegated this year. They're lucky to end up in the top 20.
Hope you guys get your shit together this summer and mount a run at promotion, it feels weird not having Fulham in the PL.
so ends another shit season Finished 17th in the league table. AFC Bournemouth wins the Championship. Watford also promoted with Norwich, Middlesbrough, Brentford, and Ipswich in the playoff. Millwall, Wigan and Blackpool relegated. Holy shit at Wigan who were in the EPL and won the FA Cup in 2013 and now will be in League One this fall. There but for the grace of God go we.
Well, that's that I guess. I have no idea what this club will look like next year. Replace inexperience with more inexperience? Probably sell roberts which is a shame. Probably time to part ways with Ruiz and Hugo. No idea what we do about our back 4.
I have a feeling they're not getting back to BPL play anytime soon. Too much turnover an no cohesion.
Must have lost my alerts when the board crashed. Sorry to leave you all in here slitting your wrists by yourselves. Please let me join in. Also explain to my dumb ass why Khan will/won't drop money into this club this summer. I truly don't know what his philosophy is on that stuff.
pretty sure it's just because he's a terrible terrible owner need dblplay1212 or Duval to confirm we're closer to League One than Premiership right now
He's been great for the Jags. He dropped a bunch of his cash into the stadium and is now leading a massive project to revitalize tge downtown area. Google "Jacksonville Shipyards" and that's the project he's pushing. The Jags haven't made some monstrous leap forward but it's not from a lack of effort of him being cheap. He's been fantastic for Jacksonville and is probably the most popular person in town.
Good luck to Jacksonville with that. I hope it works out. I've seen a ton of those types of developments in and around sporting venues all over the country and some work, some don't. It seems to depend as much as anything on whether you get some great restaurants or you end up with a Margaritaville, a TGI Fridays and a Bubba Gump. The American Airlines Center in Dallas was supposed to revitalize the area it's in, and the first attempt at developing Victory Plaza failed miserably. It's gotten better now but it still hasn't amounted to what the city was promised when the arena was approved, and was a huge reason why they couldn't get support for building the Cowboys stadium in Dallas. Speaking of which, it was supposed to bring in a lot of cool development as well, but that hasn't come to fruition. We got a lot of infrastructure improvements -- including massive improvements to I-30, Hwy 360 and the George Bush Turnpike -- and as someone who lives 5 miles from the stadium I certainly appreciate it, but it hasn't made that area a destination or anything.
His plan, or anything close to it, will not ever come to fruition... But Shad has taken an active roll in the community & I'm really surprised that Fulham has struggled under his ownership.
prerecordedlive how likely is this to come to fruition? http://www.expressandstar.com/sport...6/02/fulham-set-to-make-richard-stearman-bid/ Fulham set to make Richard Stearman bid Wolves’ Championship rivals Fulham are believed to be preparing a bid for prized defender Richard Stearman. The Wolves Player of the Year has become one of the club’s key performers but is out of contract next summer. The Cottagers are thought to have up to £10m to splash out as Kit Symons attempts to put together a squad which can challenge for promotion. But it will take a large bid to convince Wolves to sell Stearman, especially to a league rival. However, if the defender indicates he isn’t willing to sign a new contract then Wolves could look to cash in now with two months to find a replacement before next season.
Not unless you way overpay for him. He was the best player on a fringe playoff team. Why would he want to move to a team that is 2 years away from contending? Way more likely that you're able to pry Danny Batth away from us.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...lega-NINE-players-shown-exit-door-Fulham.html Hugo Rodallega among NINE players being shown the exit door at struggling Fulham Fulham have decided not release nine players, including Hugo Rodallega Tim Hoogland, Gabor Kiraly, Chris David, Josh Passley, Solomon Sambou, Jonathan Buatu and Noe Baba and Adil Chihi are also leaving Kit Symons is overhauling squad following last season's relegation scare By Richard Arrowsmith for MailOnline Published: 11:50 EST, 13 June 2015 | Updated: 11:50 EST, 13 June 2015 Colombia striker Hugo Rodallega heads an exodus of nine players being released by Fulham this summer. The 29-year-old, who arrived at Craven Cottage from Wigan in 2012, will not have his contract, which expires at the end of June, renewed by the struggling Championship side. A statement on Fulham's official website read: 'The club can confirm that Hugo Rodallega will leave Fulham when his contract expires at the end of this month. +2 Hugo Rodallega is one of several players who will not have their contracts renewed at Craven Cottage 'Tim Hoogland, Gabor Kiraly, Chris David and Adil Chihi will also be leaving the club, as will Josh Passley, Solomon Sambou, Jonathan Buatu and Noe Baba. 'We'd like to thank all of these players for their contributions to Fulham over the years, and wish them all the best in their future careers.' Rodallega started last season in fine form with nine goals in his first 17 games, but has found the net just twice this term before losing his place to Matt Smith. The Cottagers finished 19th in the Championship last season. +2 Kit Symons, pictured on Wales duty with Chris Coleman (right), wants to overhaul his squad at Craven Cottage
Hate to see him go but it's a no brainer. Reports are that we got £10 million for him, and that's a shit ton of money in the Championship. Coupled with him only having one year left on his contract it had to be done Patrick Roberts to Manchester City: Highly-rated Fulham teenager set to join Manuel Pellegrini's side Manchester City are closing in on signing teenager Patrick Roberts from Fulham. The 18-year-old winger is in high demand and has just one year left on his contract at Craven Cottage. All of the top Premier League clubs are interested in the England Under-19 international but City last night have moved into pole position to bring him to Manchester. Roberts started just three games last season as Fulham struggled to adapt to life back in the Championship, and had to fight to stay in the division. The west London club had hoped to convince Roberts to commit his future there, offering him a new long-term contract, but City were last night close to winning the competition for his signature.
That's always been the story at FFC though. Develop decent youth and sell them. Buy old dudes or cheap Americans and survive. I sound terribly bitter.
big fan of this move Luke Garbutt Joins On Loan Saturday 25 July 2015 09:00 Fulham Football Club is delighted to announce the season-long loan signing of defender Luke Garbutt from Everton. The 22-year-old defender has represented England at all youth levels from Under 16s to Under 21s and recently represented his country at the UEFA European Under-21 Championship this summer. Garbutt started his youth career at Leeds United before moving to Everton in 2009. He made over 50 appearances and scored 5 goals during his two loans spells at Cheltenham Town and Colchester United. On his return to the North West, he made his first-team debut for the Toffees in a Premier League match against Southampton in April 2014 which lead to a first call-up to the England Under 21s side. Speaking to fulhamfc.com, Garbutt said: “When I got the call saying Fulham wanted me on a season-long loan, I spoke to the manager and the staff here and I liked what they had to say and their plans for me this season. They’ve shown their faith and trust in me. I’m really looking forward to working with the boys and obviously the main objective is to get promoted this season.”
Depends. Was your car once stylish and flashy but now needs an overhaul and a new coat of paint, and most days you're just hoping the wheels don't fall off? If so, then yes.
So a little over a week away from the first game against Cardiff City. I haven't really seen any championship previews so I don't know what the experts are saying, but I would imagine more of a battle with relegation than with promotion given all our youth.
I'm thinking mid table. 12th or 10th or so. Which is probably where they would've been last year if Felix Fucknuts didn't shit the bed the first two months of the season.
