It must be so disheartening for a ref to get slagged off by 12 year olds. The Barca striker makes physical contact after being denied a penalty at the 1:15 mark, should have been a straight red IMO. You are right about that Madrid keeper, some crazy saves considering he is like 4 feet tall and defending a regulation sized net.
so bayern and inter will be in charlotte at the end of july. what are the chances that muller, lewandowski, robben etc will actually play? thanks
2 years ago when teams came over it was anyone who didn't make it to knockout rounds of the World Cup. Netherlands didn't make it so Robben won't be an issue. Wouldn't expect to see Muller. Maybe Lewandowski
Advanced analytic in the game still years behind the US sports but is gaining more and more acceptance. Loved the part about PEA at Dortmund. https://www.redbulletin.com/int/en/sports/raphael-honigstein-on-the-power-of-stats-in-football
Love the themed end of season away day dress ups. Football Away Days @footyawayday 4h4 hours ago Hartlepool fans in Plymouth today.
Hello lads/mates/blokes...fandom question here. Am I allowed to be a diehard supporter of an EPL and Bundesliga side? E.g., as a longtime West Ham diehard, can I also become a BVB diehard as well?
Do whatever your heart desires. I'd say you couldn't be diehard for both but you can def have favorites in other leagues and sides you like when they aren't playing West Ham or BVB. However I'm a believer in saying fuck it and just enjoy who you enjoy.
Only one team for diehard fandom but you can definitely like and cheer for other teams in different leagues. Keep in mind that EPL and Bundesliga games are usually on at the same time though.
Gonzalo Higuain broke the 66 year old record for most goals (now 36) in a Serie A season with this goal today.

Dynamo Moscow have been relegated this morning. They were the last club in Russia to have never been relegated from the top division. No Leicester like story in Russia either. Rostov need a win and CKSA to lose. Rostov did their part but CSKA won as well and are crowned champions.

SIAP. More proof the Green Bros are awesome They just won League 2 on sunday and are getting promoted.
Got to love a story like that. I mean I know I love a good story about people overcoming odds and a club coming from near extinction to the premier league League One.
MK Dons vs AFC Wimbledon in the league will be fun next year....dare I say must watch league 1 football.
Finland just went up 1-0 on Belgium early in the 2nd half on ESPN2. Just a friendly, obviously, but would be a pretty unlikely defeat.

Watching Brexit coverage on the BBC and they did a segment on African World Cup qualifying and it's amazing how there isn't mass opposition to its process. It's kind of unfair to every country. I guess unfair treatment is all they're used to.
Also, while watching a Copa Libertadores match one of the announcers on Fox Deportes was named David Fucks (pronounced in Spanish differently) but it made me think of this guy:
Going to a Fort Lauderdale Strikers match tonight. Taking the little one for his birthday, he loves soccer.
I went to see the NASL Ft. Lauderdale Strikers vs Carolina Railhawks and came away very unimpressed. I had attended a friendly a few years back and there was a good crowd and atmosphere at the stadium so I figured it would be the same. There was probably 500 people there (generous), and the game itself wasnt very good. I dont know if it's the crappy stadium or what but I dont think I'll be going back to another game. Weird thing is my friend went to a Miami FC game the same day and had a very different experience. Anyway, have any of you gone to see a NASL or USL game?
I'm too lazy to look it up, but have we ever done a comparison between college football teams and soccer clubs? I was thinking it would be a good idea to pass the summer break and maybe bring some new fans. I was thinking about it this morning, something like this for example: AC Milan = Miami (FL) Was great 20 years ago, has not invested in their team so fallen on tough times. Looking optimistic with new coach/owner. Fans are annoying guidos. Obviously not all comparisons will fit 100% accurately but I was hoping that some creative people on this board could help and make them fun. Thoughts?
i saw a railhawks game last week actually. west ham was playing in raleigh so me and Rich Homie Tron drove up for it. the place was packed and there were a good number of railhawk games. pretty cool little venue
I volunteered with usl (3rd tier) team Austin aztex last year. Team is on hiatus right now as they pursue a permanent stadium. Good enough environment imo.
Liverpool = Nebraska Chelsea = Florida Man U = Southern Cal? Madrid = Bama Tottenham = Clemson? City = LSU Barcelona = Ohio State?
