I would have been satisfied with a draw there if we won our first game, I haven't watched yet but hard to find fault in getting 3 points plus it sounds like Ozil was awesome and Koscielny gifted them a goal.
Ozil was awesome, first half was great but we lost the impetus after their goal. Honestly, thought it was a pretty solid performance on the road against a pretty quality CP side. Ugly at times, missed too many clear chances, lost our fluidity after the go-ahead goal and had to hold on. Team Arteta > Coq
Coq really is awful. Should've been sent off at least twice. Our entire year is pinned to THAT GUY???? Fuck.
Calm down, he's played 2 bad games. Certainly needs to get his shit together though and not a big fan of playing him in games we should be dominating like last week's.
thats not the issue imo. its not out of the question that he will bounce back. but do you take a chance on that position? i say hell no.
Currently watching and just got to where he was subbed, seems like the issue was exaggerated today. The 45th minute tackle was dumb but would be extremely harsh to send him off there and the tackle before he went off wasn't close to a yellow. He needs to commit 4-5 fouls a game though with how we play and can't be getting early yellows. Didn't think he was terrible today, Alexis has had a pretty poor game besides the goal.
I was pretty happy with that performance till how we defended those late corners, we have to get better at defending headers.
This is another reason we will see too much Giroud. More often than not it's his meaty French forehead on the ball.
So why aren't we in on De Bruyne? We have the money, we obviously need an attacker with a spark and he appears to be on the move to a "rival". Why not try to hijack that?
He, too, needs to calm down. He's acting he deserves something from the refs and then whining like a baby. He needs to cut that shit out.
can he not play basically across the front 3? didn't we just have a match where we ran out a guy that had been in training for less than a week to rescue a game?
Can't stand the whining, especially at that position. You are there to induce contact, it's going to happen.
that would have been a ridiculously cruel second yellow. the ref gave him his final warning like he should have and Wenger took him off. do you want to sub him at halftime every time he gets carded in the first half?
no its not, but he was late twice before getting subbed so he could easily have been booked a second time. it would have been harsh the first time, not the second. If Wenger wanted him in thats fine but i think its save to say that he was playing with fire.
Christ, his 1 foul in the second half may not have even been a foul. His yellow and foul at the end of the 1st half were dumb, he didn't do much wrong in the 2nd half and Wenger took him off when he should have.
i know that but he was late twice and that could be a card. I think its fair he didnt get a second yellow, but it wouldnt have shocked me one bit had he gotten a second one.
He still wasn't keeping his head when already on a yellow. If anything, it's possible Wenger wanted to avoid having to bring Arteta on for as long as possible. Just hope he realizes we can't rely on Coq for the entire year whether it be due to fitness/health or discipline.
Illarramendi, I'd take him in a second. Not like he'll get minutes there. Price should probably be fairly reasonable as well.
Didn't even train with the first team, don't think Wenger likes him. Ainsley seems to be doing really well for Ipswich, not bad for a 17 almost 18 year old.
