The kid that fucking created would be one stylish and cocky mofo with gambling issues and an impeccable short game.
Mid 80s today and it actually feels a degree lower than temperature listed? Gon have to go play some golf even if its solo.
If you're hitting a slice, I would say it's too far. You even take the club past parallel. Having said that, I'm no expert. I can only speak for my own experience. When my back swing gets too long, I lose the ball right. When I keep it under control and hit it in the center of the face, my misses are very small. I can still fly the ball 275 with the driver, which is about as far as I would ever need to hit it. You obviously have plenty of strength to be able to hit the ball a ton without a massive back swing. Maybe try reducing the back swing on the range and focus on hitting it in the center of the club face. Work until you do that consistently, and then you can extend the back swing gradually. Now, that doesn't mean you should chip the ball with your driver like Artoo.
Took my four year old out and played nine. He just likes to ride in the cart. I was +7 thru 6, which is good for me, with 5 bogeys and 1 double. On 7, my son tried to put his cheez its in the cup holder while I was driving and I hit a bump. Things didn't end well, as he fell out of the cart and scraped himself up pretty good. Since I was playing well, I'm a terrible father and tried to see if he could tough it out. I then put my 50 yard approach shot into the bunker and called it a day. That sucked.
I was playing so fucking bad, I quit after 18 holes. Not one fucking decent tee shot with driver or wood all day.
It's weird. I've been making much more consistent contact and hitting it well, but I've lost a ton of distance. I wasn't hitting it that far to begin with, so it's been a little frustrating. Then again, my scores have actually improved with my newfound old man golf.
I've been putting in some much needed range time lately. Went to sort out iron play and sloppy wedges. As a result realized I needed to swing around my body more with the driver and 3 wood. I was pissing on them today during lunch. Guy beside me moved to the other end
Good news and bad news. On my quest to break 90, I shot an 83 today. Bad news is that I didn't get to play #18 before it was completely dark. It's a par 5 and the hole that I birdie the most. Left the driver in the bag and hit my 4h off the tee all day. Missed two fairways and one was due to an awful kick. Kinda disappointed I didn't get to finish but I'll take it.
Yes, a derivative of baseball terminology when we'd hit a ball and say "knocked the piss out of that one." I don't expect it to catch on, nor do I expect the driver results to stick around. Not without losing some other aspect of the game during that period of good driving anyway, because golf.
I didn't think it was something I created...but as soon as fish pointed it out it seemed like one of those unexplainable southern idioms.
"Pissed on" is a very weird phrase to use. Even after reading the "knocked the pissed out of it" origin story.
paying essentially 63 cents per round seems worth it to not miss the best players in the world for the first 2 days of each tournament
But it used to be free. Most, not all but most, tournaments were streamed Thurs/Fri on the PGA website for $0. Now they found a way to make some extra dollars off of people and now I don't get to watch until Saturday because I refuse to pay for their obvious cash grab.
.....what? the only thing that was available thursday and friday before the coverage started at 2 or 3 PM was shottracker unless it was a major, the players, etc
