Dez Fafara who used to be with Coal CHamber started this band in 2003, eye had the pleasure of seeing them in Houston (late winter/early spring) that year and was blown away....the have gotten progressively better since then...this album "Pray for Villains" is brutal good from beginning to end in the same light as their Second Album "The Fury of Our Makers Hand"....Awesome Awesome Band to see Live, they have an Energy like Killswitch Engage (used to have)... It sounds like they're trying too hard to go with that generic mosh metal new wave stuff thats popular these days. Their first several albums are really good though. Re: **ITT: Heavy Metal** Yeah they do a lot of keyboard solos which is kind of unusual. They were heavily influenced by Stratovarius, a big time power metal band from Finland. They are really talanted all around. Their guitarist does some amazing work. Almost all the songs on their earlier albums are great. Newer stuff Oh and I'm with you metalcore sucks bigtime. Maybe if we can get enough people posting in this thread some of these guys can hear what real metal sounds like. I'm going to try to go with a wide spectrum of metal genres.
