Would rather see Arry embarrassed but pretty damn happy Spurs will be sticking with him now and not getting Martinez or Moyes.
I just figured they know they are fucked for the Euros, especially w/ the small amount of time between the tourney and when Capello was fired. Not enough time for someone to implement their "system." They'll be calling for a head after an implosion this summer and they can actually hire who they want afterwards to coach up for the World Cup w/o the pressure of a doomed Euro.....and then they will fuck up in the WC as well.
Exactly what I thought... Feel bad for Roy, he's not a bad coach bit this is the wrong situation for him.
he needs to stay at a mid table team like fulham and west brom and just pray for perfect storms like at Fulham with their Europa run

flame away, but this isn't as bad of a hire as many are making it out to be but as with any England manager: his talent pool is overrated and the expectations will be unrealistic
http://espn.go.com/sports/soccer/st...albion-roy-hodgson-talks-england-coaching-job there are uk pti guys?
Nah, I agree, I like this hire much, much more than 'Arry. But much, much less than Jose. </pipedream>
Rubbed my face raw after only receiving one like for this brilliance I'll tell you all motherfuckers that much
Are they hiring Hodgson because they know no matter who gets the gig they will suck in the Euros, so they may as well get someone who is easily fireable? They cant seriously think this is a good move can they?
The guy has been sacked from Liverpool, did well at Fulham and West Brom, did well at switzerland in the early 90s but he has managed UAE and Finland in the 00's teams who have no chance at a WC appearance. He just seems average to me. It would be a good hire for a country like Belgium, not England. Redknapp is a much better manager, he guided Portsmouth to their first FA cup since like the 1930s and took Spurs to the UCL last year.
My uncle in England seems to be enthused since he grew up just outside Crystal Palace and Hodgson played there when he attended a bunch of the games.
If England ever hopes to join the real elite of international football, someone has to clean house in the FA.
