Looks cool. Hope it is in DC. For sure. Hopefully the local gov't only pays for a small bit. Atlanta was a good deal, only paid like 15%
Oh it's a waste of money but FedEx needs to die a painful death. Unless they tear down RFK, it's not going to be in the city which sucks but anything is better than that hunk of crap middle of nowhere dump they have now.
Does RFK host anything? Would be pretty cool if they could tear it down and replace it with Danny Land
The Redkins need a new stadium badly. So this is good news. Cooke built the worst new stadium ever assembled.
Believe DC United is still there till their new stadium is built which is gonna be a few years. Pretty big piece of land so something has to go there.
DC United still plays there until they get their new stadium built by Nats Park, which is next summer I believe but I could be wrong. Also Howard plays a rivalry game there too. But that's it. When it snowed 25 inches here in January, they dumped all the plowed snow in the RFK parking lots to sit their until it melted.
No mention of the piece this week on 60 minutes about the "Star" Architect being hired to design the Redskins Stadium? IMO, it looks bad Todd. People tweeting at the Redskins tend to agree... https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...ct-to-proposed-stadium-design-jellyfish-barf/ Spoiler
A little more on it. http://www.redskins.com/news-and-ev...Included/9d3cc954-7022-4209-aa7f-e04dd34ffd12
Signed S David Burton from Denver. He's the guy who played 70 plus plays with a broken fibula against the Steelers this year. 3 year deal, 9 mil. Great signing. What is going on?
This guy... #Browns RG3 on Washington: "What happened down there would break a lot of people.'' Grateful he got through it
Sounds like they are re-signing Pot Roast today. Apparently he wanted to stay with the team all along but they told him to cut some weight so he dropped 30lbs and the team expected to sign him. We need help up front so I'm down with it.
Not an awful resign for a short contact and probably reasonable for a 2 down player. Still need more young bodies in the draft but this at least gives us the ability to draft someone who might be a year away and doesn't have to be a year 1 full time starter
Jason La Canfora ✔@JasonLaCanfora The Skins have a very legit offer on the table for free agent CB Josh Norman I'm told. 49ers' interest is very strong as well among others 6:12 PM - 21 Apr 2016
Love his trash talking, I'm all for it. We have so many holes on defense, can't fix em all through the draft.
We can create 8 mil in cap space by cutting Chris Culliver after 6/1, and around 4 each with DeAngelo/Perry Riley/Andre Roberts That's 20 mil off the bat for 4 shitty players. There's Garcon too with way too big of a cap hit for his production, there's a lot of flexibility.
There is no way Norman is leaving Redskin park without signing a deal. Mark it down. There is a legit reason he chose to visit the Redskins 1st. Ironically he is good pals with Deangelo Hall and sent him a telling tweet last night about potentially signing with Washington. He knows exactly what's he is walking into today. I will literally blow a load on nuclear sub at work if this gets done. I love his game, he's fearless, and he's young. Makes it happen.
We haven't spent big in years but hey, just the Redskins being the Redskins when Eagles and Giants spend big on average corners.
think he's not gonna be worth the money but I ain't mad about upgrading our DB talent. hope we can get KC1 some better targets and stock up on both lines.
Oh yeah, sprinkle in a RB, WR, S, and a OL. Spend the rest on the DL in a DL heavy draft class. I also totally forgot about Galette coming back.
This is how I feel. Is he worth all that money? Not at all but it's a massive fill to a massive hole on this team. McCloughan has been pretty frugal since he started here. I am going to trust him on this one. Also, it's the NFL, if it doesn't work out I'm sure there are some exit ramps on that contract that we can get off on without it hurting too much. #trustthedrunk
http://espn.go.com/blog/washington-...ther-unexpected-impactful-pickup-for-redskins Every team hands out big tickets that they could regret in a few years. At least Norman is still young enough and a fixture at his position and fills a CB spot that was in need of a massive upgrade for the Skins. This team is built for this year and next so why not take a shot. Especially since they haven't been burying themselves in FA over the last few years.
With Norman in tow and DL on the docket in the draft I'm concerned with the RB situation. I hope we snatch up one in the later rounds. I'm not comfortable with the durability of any of the guys we have on the roster.
