he killed everyone in book 3 so he has to introduce new characters in book 4. it's really not that bad. nothing can keep the pace that ASOS set.
I liked Book 4. I didnt find it as bad as some said it would be or maybe it was just my expectations were lowered? That being said, I was able to read Book 4 immediately after 3 and I didnt have to wait 4-5 years like some did. I could see then being very disappointed.
End gets better. Basically the last 100 pages are awesome and everything else is boring for the most part. You learn a lot about Jamie though which is cool. Arya has some good chapters as well.
I fucking hate this shit. Cersei dicking around at Kings Landing doesn't mean shit to me, yet I have to read her chapter and Jamie's. Then I get to spend 9,000,000 chapters amongs the fucking Greyjoys, like i give a fuck about them. WHY NO ARYA, JON, BRAN, DANY, TYRION?!?! Fuck I hate this book so far.
because GRRM is annoying like that. i don't mind it tbh, it adds a little to the story. didn't it start in ACOK? wasn't aeron damphair's first chapter titled "the prophet"
Brienne gets repetitive, but Nimble Dick and the Septon had a lot of cool stories. The Greyjoys are interesting, especially Victarion. "The Reaver" is one of the best chapters in all the books Cersei is an annoying cunt, but she's an important annoying cunt so shut up and pay attention. Jaime's chapters are great and you learn so much from his inner dialogue. don't know how far you are, but it gets even better when he gets to Riverrun. Sansa chapters start to get good in this book. anytime we get to learn about the plans of Littlefinger is cool with me.
Am I not allowed to complain about a book being slow but still read it? It's almost everyone's least favorite. No need for you to be the virtual badass here. If you don't want to see my complaints, dont open the thread.
ok. Just saying the book is slow, which everyone has pretty much agreed with. Dude comes in here being a dick about it...
