I like the calf ones. A bit dark but i like the inspiration. Considered this as well but I'm a corporate slave and like wearing polos.
want tree of life/ tree roots with the head of the tree being a wolf's head smilar to this: don't know where to put it and no clue where to look in TN/GA but it would be the only tatoo i would get/have... sailors guide to earth cover is pretty cool
Got the outline of Rio de Janeiro's skyline done around my ankle while down in South America, adding a little bit and getting it touched up right now. This is my 2nd, and the ankle hurts like FUCK.
That's awesome. I got a sak yan while in Chiang Mai a few years ago, from a monk at a temple, where they use the long bamboo stick.
I actually got the ink in Buenos Aires. I wanted to get it in Rio, but I visited some parlors and the sanitation left much to be desired. BA was much more up to western hygeine standards.
Yea, it was actually an ordeal to get to the temple and find where youre supposed to go. Not much information online, either.
Speaking of São Paulo, if I'm ever there I'm making it a mission to get some work done here http://instagram.com/joao.ch
Really want to get 1/4 sleeve and one side of the chest done. My ribs/side, calf, and arm are all black/gray. I'm looking for some inspiration and the only thing I'm seeing are tribal, which I'm sure as hell not doing. Anyone got ideas?
Well I already have this on the opposite side that was done 4 years ago, don't want to go too many trees. Spoiler
Got started on this today. Still need to put another piece on the back part of the shoulder and the pec, as well as blend everything in (including into my old tattoo). Spoiler
Was planning on finishing this up today, but needed to replan the piece that is going to wrap around on the pec. Have my final appointment on the 23rd. Spoiler
obviously not on the level of the stuff you guys have here, but anyone in here have a wedding band tattoo? Finally got the wife to come around on the idea, as when I lift, play sports or doing workshop projects I usually remove it, plus I have arthritis that it sets off. Looking for the dos and don'ts of wedding band tattoo, I'm planning to do the letter C of her first name in Morse code, as I can get it in a line to imitate a band and it will hide under my current band while wearing it. Have always wanted to get some ink, parents kept me from it growing up, wife doesn't like it since, so never really had the opening. That said, I would like to at least get this. I've heard a lot of tattoo places don't like doing fingers cause it can bleed/fade and they don't want their name attached to it. Is that too intricate of a design to do small on a finger?
if you go to a somewhat reputable place, i don't think they would have any issue doing that. tattoos on fingers are generally pretty popular. I think that's a really cool idea, fwiw.
The shop I go to will do any body part, but on the consent form they make it clear that they don't warranty (or something like that) hands, feet, and inside the body. That being said, wedding band isn't quite the same but I always think long term with content and what could go wrong (like getting a name tatted and then getting divorced).
got my first one 2 weeks ago on my ribs. Was way more unpleasant than I had been told, but it turned out great and I'm glad I did it.
Really want to get some art inspired by my favorite song, but I'm neither creative nor an artist. I don't have anything in mind of what it should look like either.
Continued work on my forearm. Post above is the front side of it. Now back of my forearm. I'll eventually get it all shaded and blended together.
Getting a globe/map with a compass/directional overlay done on my right calf/right ankle in the next few weeks, still deciding on the design. All I have is black tattoos so far, and may go with color on this one, but worried about fading. Something like: Spoiler Whichever I decide, I'll probably get the compass overlay from the bottom one, not sure if I want to go watercolor or all black on the map.
Air Force just changed their tattoo policy to "as many as you damn well please" as long as they aren't on the face, neck, or hands (minus one ring tattoo). I'm very pleased.
