Nothing real special about this pic just American AA fire on Okinawa as the Japs are trying to bomb. Still find it amazing that most Americans didn't know FDR was wheelchair bound when he was President

Just found this ridiculously sad picture...kid in Sudan is crawling to a U.N. food camp a kilometer away...photographer killed himself three months after taking the picture...what confuses me is the fact that the photographer just took the picture and immediately left
Woman with her starving children during the great depression. Auschwitz Saddest thing I've ever seen in my life.
This is a very prevalent photo used during discussions of a journalist's duties. The old view is that journalists need to be completely removed from the situation as to avoid perceptions of bias. The downside of this is not helping someone who so clearly needs it. The modern view is that journalists can get involved with the topic they are discussing to an extent. While objectivity is still the goal, perceptions of bias may be okay/acceptable. The downfall of this is obviously actual bias. /worthless journalism degree
I don't get how the guy could just walk away. I'd walk over pick the kid up and take him there myself. I don't know how anyone as a human being could just take a picture like that and then leave. WTF could possibly be going through your mind to not help him?
Tsar Nicholas II and family. The whole family (including their butler & servants) were told to come downstair for family picture. They went down, all dressed up, they posed like that, and bam.. they were executed. very haunting scene
