Had a beer and some pizza at John's since it was right next to my hotel. Gonna drink a few at the hotel before heading to PJ Clarke's. Offer for a round on me tonight still stands.
I LOVE the UWS but I don't eat up here a ton - if I'm going to eat on the UWS, I'll just eat at home. There are a few good spots tho: Tenzan Sushi has 3 rolls from 12.50 every day from 12-430. Il Piccolo is very good, inexpensive Italian. Fred's and E's bars in the 80s are solid watering holes. But I really don't go out there a ton.
How was it man? Sorry I couldn't join for a beer - I already had obligations. I'm down next time though
Had a good time. Went to a couple bars got hammered. Walked way to much and took the subway for the first time lol.
I want to come up there and spend half my time eating/drinking and the other half at museums/art exhibits. Problem is I have no one to go with that is into both of those things :/ I guess this is why people have girlfriends
I went to the Museum of Natural History by myself and enjoyed it. I kind of rushed through it since I was trying to make the 9/11 museum and memorial too before my train back to CT. The Dark Universe film narrated by Neil DeGrasse Tyson was awesome.
Looks like some buddies and I are going to make our way down to NYC in July. Staying at the Gansevoort in the meat packing district. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
You're in the right spot. I like the Standard Hotel lobby Bar and courtyard beer garden, but table service at the rooftop at Ganzevoort is a great time. I hit STK a fair amount when I'm in the city. Call right now and get a dinner reservation at Babbo in the village. Best Italian restaurant I've been to.
Thanks. My buddy loves the hotel and says the nightlife is awesome and you don't have to leave. Not so sure about that...
The MPD is a great intersection of some of the finer nightlife establishments in the city, but it's relatively high end. Girls will probably be better looking there than anywhere else. I guess it depends on what you want.
We aren't high rollin it but want to have a good time. Plan on being gassed pretty much from Thursday night to Sunday eve when we fly home. Want to hit up a few nice restaurants but mainly the booze will be the boss.
I just left The Jefferey. I don't understand why everyone evacuates the City on the first holiday but good for me really.
Agreed. I stay in the city for MDW every year and its one of my favorite weekends every year. Go eat wherever I want with no wait and there are always some awesome parties going on everywhere from manhattan to brooklyn to rockaway
Completely agree. We had a rooftop BBQ with our neighbors and some friends on Sunday night, it was epic.
i went out of town for a wedding but had there been no wedding i'd be up there, i wanted to hang around the city that day
I have a three day Gov Ball pass but I'm probably only going to be able to go Friday. Can I sell the wristband after Friday or what?
TIGHT If You Don’t Want to Commute During a Severe Thunderstorm, You Should Probably Leave Work Now By Jessica Roy New York and surrounding areas are currently under a severe thunderstormwatch, which could bring nearly 60 mile per hour wind gusts and quarter-size hailstones, according to DNAinfo. After thehot, dry May we've had, the city could usesome rain. It'd be nice if it happened overnight and not during prime commuting http://nymag.com/daily/intelligence...ere-thunderstorm-watch.html?mid=twitter_nymag
Any luck selling Governors Ball wristbands? I need to sell mine or trade for a Friday only pass and cash.
I'm gonna take a loss on mine most likely Oh well, it's supposed raining on Friday so I'm not about that life tbh
also none of my friends are going so i'm likely just straight fucked and probably won't go outside of maybe Saturday night/Sunday day
Getting tickets to a Yankees game. Been told the bleachers are a good time. Is there a good atmosphere out there? Should we sit closer to the infield?
Best atmosphere in the bleachers. The die hard fans ("bleacher creatures") sit in section 203, so if you can get close to them you'll definitely have a great time.
Just got into town, enjoyed a Thompson Square bagel and some tacos in Bushwick. Hitting Radegast on Saturday.
So the show was super inconvenient to get to but it turned out to be a good time. If the weather was nice this venue (MCU Park in Coney Island) would be killer, and I highly suggest checking it out if you have a chance. Mumford is awesome live, plain and simple. They get hated on but they show out.
so I haven't re-downloaded Snapchat on my new phone but that's one of the reasons. I don't want to see people's concert videos. The quality sucks, no matter what.
I'm really close to ranting on Facebook about it. Do people not get how annoying that is? Especially when it's with some EDM doofus at a Vegas club.
