They are releasing tonight, and Thursday per their Instagram. Not sure if there will be anything left for us on Saturday :(
I rented a car once and almost killed a pedestrian. Sounds like my Friday is going to involve accosting southern frat boys at Maysville.
I'm sure we can come up with a trade But seriously I have stuff to trade. If you grab extra, please let me know. I live on 24th and 2nd and will be glad to meet up this weekend.
Cowfish or rumba restaurant in Hampton bays. So good. Try these two sushi rolls... Maui Wowi Roll Lobster, mango, asparagus, avocado topped with baked scallops and fresh lump crab, spicy chili sauce, toasted coconut, crunchy, eel sauce. Cowboy Roll Lobster, guacamole, asparagus, soy paper, shaved prime rib, spicy crab, masago & wasabi aioli http://cowfishrestaurant.com/
I'll already be in NYC come Saturday when it is time for me to get down to central NJ. It looks like I'll be staying somewhere lower than 14th so the train is looking like the better option. I can get someone to pick me up once I get there. Can you link me to the website with the train schedule? Thanks
I'm going to spend some time reviewing all the recs over the last 10 or so pages. First tho, what are the restaurants I need to make appointments with now in order to get in for Aug 14th and 15th? I'd like to do Blue Hill and Traif.
I got into Traif with a reservation like 6 hours before, but that was a weeknight and for one person.
http://www.njtransit.com/sf/sf_servlet.srv?hdnPageAction=TrainTo I don't think that the train goes all the way to Highbridge on the weekend, though. You might have to get a ride from Raritan.
This may be way too vague of a question to ask, but any recommendations for affordable hotels in Manhattan? What's a reasonable price to pay? Wife and I are looking to maybe do a long weekend trip in October, we've never been to NYC for more than a half day layover and flights from Charlotte are super cheap.
Flying in on Friday for 3 days, first time in the city. Can't fucking wait. Getting in the New York state of mind with some movies, just watched Cloverfield, 25th Hour will be happening later.
We land Thursday for 4 days. Looking at the forecast for next weekend it doesn't seem as nice as this one.
really enjoyed NYC maysville was awesome, had lots of good scotch the met was better than i thought and the natural history museum sans the space exhibits was downright pitiful WTC and 9/11 memorials, very engrossing SOL and Ellis Island (found that my wife's great great great grandparents came from BHAM ENGLAND) were standard touristy but i couldnt not go really liked tribeca and chinatown. ms swim got a LV for 35, worked the chinese lady down from 90... was proud but then still felt like they woulda taken 20 (?) went to times sq. once in the morning on the way to the subway and then again at night. its cool to walk through and then you realize its basically the worst people standing around buying 9$ hot dogs and taking their picture with elmo and you want to kill everyone speaking of walking, i salsa danced with about 100 foreigners walking on the sidewalks... wish everyone knew to get to the GD right a lot of foreigners smell really bad it is a really really fucking big city upper west side was cool to walk through as well def gotta go back
coming from Orlando where we've been 90+ and/or torrential downpours (also known as "summer"), low 80's and no rain seems pretty damn nice to me.
Cheers to top tier user gordon bombay who hooked it up with some Other Half, and my first experience of Bourbon County. Looking forward to my triple IPA after work /SleepingPill
Not that I've seen lately. Haven't been over to Top Hops though, they're the ones that usually have it this late in the year.
cool, i'll check it out. Have you been to Stouts It's right by our hotel, I'm hoping they might have it on draft still.
Stout? Near Herald Sq? They didn't have it last week when I was there, pretty mediocre tap list. Check out rattle n hum or ginger man, much better bars
Have you guys watched 3AM on Showtime? Lot of frequented NYC nightlife locations in there, cool to see. That and the Fat Jew getting an anus bleaching.
I don't consider Stout a craft beer bar. Doubt they got Bourbon County at all. Ditto gordon bombay's recs of Rattle N Hum or Ginger Man for craft beer in that area.
One Knight check beermenus when you get here, bars usually keep it updated with their current list. https://www.beermenus.com/beers/5099-goose-island-bourbon-county-stout
Best location of the following to stay Aug 13-15? 35 and 36 are technically sold out, but would try to weasle my way in
Sorry, to stay for a couple nights. Some of the guys in here said below 14th, so tried to lay out my options.
Well I'll be damned, I took stay below 14th to mean the lowest below 14th is best. I have some other options. Thoughts? 12th still the best?
