Dress as normal as possible (business casual... no khakis)... come up with a good short story... they'll ask you about what you would spend money on, everyone answers pay down debt or travel, so pick something else that makes you stand out (but not too weird, one of my good friends who is absolutely better than I am at Jeopardy!/trivia told them he would buy a platinum/diamond grill for his mouth... he was not selected).
Yeah, I'm thinking about my anecdotes and have already come up with a good response for the money question which I thought of driving home from my last audition. Have you auditioned before, Delap?
pre-testing or after I knew I was gonna be on? Absolutely zero before hand. There is no way to really study once you know you are gonna be on, so I just picked a couple common categories that I was weaker in (namely Shakespeare and Oscars-type stuff) and learned a really superficial amount of that stuff.
I completely blanked on it watching basketball and didn't get over to the site on time. I feel like such an idiot. How was it?
Best advice I could give people for getting on the show at the interview point is have an interesting story and don't be overly anxious. They expect people to be a little nervous, but if you're freaking out at the interview, that doesn't speak well to how you will react during taping of the show. My response to how I would spend the money "Well, I'm $200k in debt from med school, so I'd do the obvious. Blow it all on lotto tickets and candy."
I finished second. I trailed pretty much the whole game to a guy who was in the middle of a 7 day winning streak. Was a bummer.
guy on now said his occupation was a stay at home dad and his fact about himself was about his fantasy baseball league. living the dream imo.
Not sure when the new season started but it's been in the last week or two I think...new guy on now...Matt Jackson...he's an absolute machine.

No...he was up ~33k to nearest 5k going in...question was Famous Women or something and the clue was along the lines of 'She was a part of the UN blah blah something about fireside chats'
