First season drops at midnight PST tonight. Figured I'd go ahead and get a thread started. Very excited.
Couldn't resist knocking out the first episode before I started working. This is going to be really good. Spoiler That ending. Damn. I love how these Netflix series are so different in tone than the films.
this inappropriate for a 13 year old? not worried about language/violence, my friend who has read the comics told me there is some fucked up sex shit
After three episodes, the sex has been pretty much on par with primetime television or even daytime soap operas.
Am I the only one who thinks the cop guy is similar to Brody from Homeland? Or do I just think all white people look the same?
Welp, just figured out what I'm doing tonight. GF is going to be super pumped that tonight's entertainment has changed from me playing Fallout 4.
I'm on Episode 6, and I can't really say I'm disappointed with one thing about this show so far. Ritter nails Jessica Jones. Luke Cage is awesome, and this series is getting me even more excited for his standalone (although I'm sure Jones will have a large role). Kilgrave is also a perfect villain, and they're really doing a fantastic job of showing both how powerful and twisted he is as a character.
So who is Krysten Ritter? I only know her as The Bitch in Apartment 8b but I didn't think anyone else had seen that show.
Just finished the third episode and I wouldn't let my 13 year old watch it (if I had one). The sex is a too much IMO but also the tone is just too dark - and in a completely different way from Daredevil.
they haven't mentioned daredevil once through 4 eps (and heard they don't through at least 7). so you should be good
I like the show but this capturing/escaping /capturing/escaping/capturing /escaping is getting kind of tedious.
And Simpson may be portrayed by the worst actor since Sophia Coppola in godfather 3, other than that it's been solid.
Leaving this thread since I'm only on episode five. Damn you people binge watch. I did like that they made fun of both the name "jewel" and the costume.
In the comics, she eventually develops powers of her own and becomes the character 'Hellcat.' She was actually a member of the Avengers at one point.
Binged through all of it over the weekend and finished last night. I really liked it. Spoiler I think I need to watch episodes 11 and 12 again to try to figure out the Luke stuff to figure out what the hell happened there. I was kind of confused as to whether all of it was Kilgrave, or if only parts were, or what actually happened.
finished it last night. killgrave as the villain really put it over the top for me. Spoiler i think it was all killgrave. they were working on increasing the power, obviously. and he said (right after luke attacked jessica) that he had increased it to 24 hours, which i took to mean he had had control over him the whole time. like you, i'll probably go back and rewatch.
Just finished episode 7 and I love it so far...Tennant is insanely good, Ritter is spot on, sex scenes are worth watching, only complaint is not enough Lester from the Wire
Are they though? I mean yeah Luke is pretty hot but Ritter's refusal to bare them thangs or her ass is upsetting to say the least.
