Sorry if this should be in one of the other threads.

Anyways, We all know that Klinsmann likes to attack. Obviously the US system is very stale and defense minded (although we suck on the back line). I think one of the things that Klinsmann was able to do as the coach of the German team was go to the Bundesliga and get a lot of the teams to play more attacking soccer.

Unfortunately (or fortunately since they are not in the MLS) we have guys spread out all over the world playing in leagues that play a wide variety of styles. Is the limited amount of time that Klinsmann will have with our USMNT going to be enough to allow them to play an attacking style and not look totally out of sync?

What do you think we will look like as far as tactics in Brazil in 2014?

There were times in the past (e.g., Confed Cup) when we played a more attacking brand of soccer, and we almost always did much better. But, then we'd revert to Bradley-Ball and lose.

Even if we don't start out kicking ass, I'm excited to see an aggressive American soccer team. I think it'll make our current team more successful, and I think it'll improve the popularity of the sport in the US, which will pay future dividends.
