Acc tournament tonight and Sunday in ESPNU. Unc vs Cuse at 6 ET ND vs Duke following UNC had one of the most improbable (and impressive) comebacks last week against ND to win the acc. Scored 7 straight in the 4th to come back from 5 down and win. ND came in giving up less than 7 goals a game
Haha mountain time. But yes, that is correct. Maryland will be top overall seed with Denver, ND, brown and Yale contending for the other top 4 seeds. will be interesting to see how many the acc gets in this year and how many, if any outside of ND, get a home game next week (I'd bet Cuse and duke both get home games and UNC misses the tournament).
Maryland Denver ND Yale Brown Marquette Loyola Syracuse Syracuse Albany of course in the first round Brown vs Hopkins should be a fantastic game
ND vs air force and UNC vs Marquette. Have only seen air force play once (win at Duke) but no idea what to think of that game. And unfortunately I think Carolina runs over Marquette
Duke at loyola to kick off the tournament. Denver plays Towson/Hobart in Sunday at 3 ET (1 MT) Cornelius Suttree
duke loses in the first round for the 2nd straight year. miles jones held without a point for the first time in 55 games
UNC with a 10-9 win in Milwaukee. First appearance in the tournament for Marquette, wish they would've won Brown is rolling over Hopkins 17-6 in the 4th
did not see this much scoring in this game. hopefully the nd defense can settle in. offense and ride game looks good today so far
ND is in the drivers seat if they can beat UNC. Were up by 7 on them earlier in the year and choked it away.
if it weren't for 2 4th quarter collapses at the end of the year (5 goal lead to unc and 4 goal lead the next game to duke), i'd feel a lot better about this nd team. still need to find some help on offense (although the freshman garnsey has come into his own the last few games) and keep faceoffs at >=50%. but you certainly can't look at this side of the bracket and not feel good as an ND fan
i didn't know what to expect coming into today (i admittedly vastly underestimated towson), but so far, we're 2 for 3 on great games today. after a pretty bad day yesterday for competitive games, this has been fun
games tomorrow on espnu maryland vs syracuse at 12 et brown vs. navy after i can't imagine this navy team beating this brown team. maryland cuse is a bit more interesting. i saw maryland in person (out in CA against ND), and they looked awful. they've obviously grown and improved since then, but I just can't shake that offensive ineptitude. think brown and maryland win, but wouldn't be surprised if cuse is able to beat this MD team (they'll probably be the best team MD has played since ND).
MBA beat McCallie in OT. Don't think they ever got it going this year even with some absurd returning talent. Congrats Cornelius Suttree
Oh shit. Brown is workout Dylan Malloy - their best player/the best player in the country. That's...big
Its all your fault! But seriously, that was a game I never saw coming. I can't remember the last time an ND team was so thoroughly dominated. This ND team never really "felt" like a NC team, but...yeah, that was rough. Personally rooting for brown next weekend.
My friend is up there bc he was on the 91 unc championship team. They are getting presented at halftime Monday bc it's the 25th anniversary. Pretty cool that unc will be playing as well
I'm supposed to leave to go to a pool party and I don't want to miss the second half. Been excellent so far
Hmmm. It's not enough to make me root for Maryland, but it's close... @BDH_Sports: ESPN anchor Chris Berman '77 is in attendance sporting Brown gear today
Brown can't get a thing going offensively so why not have two long poles on your offensive end Do they normally do that?
Yeah. 42 has like 8 goals on the year including a great one today Their issues are more Dylan Malloy related (broken foot) and tired (so many sloppy turnovers)
