i wouldnt really like him there. I like him best as one of the attacking ones in a 3 man midfield with the point back (so one 6, two 8s) He would fit better at the 10 than the 6 tbqh

I meant against Sheffield. He looked good against Portland T2. Watched the first half today but had to travel during the second half. I guess that's an okay result because there are so many new pieces and Southampton is prob upper mid table? Disappointed to give up a late equalizer at home.
He only played the 2nd 45 from what I looked up, and the blog of the game didn't mention anything on him other than him being subbed in. Obviously 3 points would have been better, but I'm just fine with getting a point. I liked what we did tactically, we always seemed to be attacking, or looking to attack. Created some decent chances. I think Mitrovic is going to make everything operate a lot better as I think his hold up/link up play will be better than Cisse. Loved what I saw from Mbemba and Gini
Honestly though, it's pretty early with McClaren to completely know what we will do. I think we're going to be running a pretty fluid 4231 with both wingers being able to interchange, and the midfield 3 can be kind of fluid as well. Gini will operate out of the hole. But like Tony said, our defense is awful. We still need to get a LB and CB.
