You saw he's on Spains Euro squad right? And I think Ayala was voted best or shortlisted for best defender in the Championship
I actually hadn't but I knew he had started their last qualifier versus Ukraine so I was thinking he had a good shot to make it. Glad to see he did. It's still interesting to me that Ayala stuck around in the Championship. I'm surprised he never moved back to Spain. But it worked out and glad to see he'll be back in the premier league next year.
I still don't think he gets dumped this window (although I'd be fine with that). I think there's going to be a phased rebuilding and I think there are other guys Klopp will want to get out first (Lucas, Skrtel, Benteke, Allen, Ibe, bunch of academy guys). If they are bringing in Chilwell, its not to start game 1 at left back next year.
Under 25 - don't sell unless you really don't like a player/someone pays over your valuation. Hendo came good(ish) so giving up on anyone that's 20 would be foolish. Loans on the other hand, or sales with clauses on first refusals or cheaper buy backs I would maybe be ok with.
Liverpool have lined up a move for Sadio Mane in another raid on Southampton after hopes of securing Gotze receded (Paul Joyce) The Anfield club are ready to rival MUFC and Tottenham in the chase for the Senegal attacker, who is rated at around £25m (Paul Joyce) Uh....
I say send Ibe on loan to a prem team to get some games in. Especially if we're bringing in more wing type players
If Mane wasn't a Southampton player everyone would be happy if we signed him. I think he is exactly what we need. Spurs and United are after him too so he might be pointless.
Also mane is nothing like gotze so the idea they're going for mane after missing on gotze makes no sense
That's why I thinking buying in the league is stupid. Paying over inflated prices is why we haven't won shit in the past several years. Mane scored against us on 10/25 and didn't score again until he played us on 3/20. I'm not paying 25 mil for that player.
Regardless if we get Mane or not I love the fact we are after a pacey winger. That, a LB, Dahoud, and another CB and I will be so pumped for next season.
I think Dahoud will stay put. I can't see them losing essentially their entire midfield in one window.
Sounds like there's a good chance Sturridge is going to be left off the England squad for the Euro's. Fingers crossed
Sakho update: l'Equipe notes unlikely to be punished further - "fat burner" he took isn't on the banned list according to his lawyers. #lfc Will be happy and pissed of this is true
I mean I'm pretty oblivious to how high level sports testing works, but I thought you either get popped or you don't. Kinda like if the test comes back, it says you have this in your system you're gone, not a month later find out that substance isn't banned.
Reportedly he took something that has a substance in it that has similar properties to ephedra which is on the banned substance lost but what he took wasn't actually on the list.
Fuck this shit. The one time they come play super close to me and I'm going to be on vacation. Fucking fuck.

So you are saying you are uncommitted? My son and I are going to the Chelsea and Milan games. Might have to follow the team to St. Louis and tell the wife we will meet her at the beach on August 2nd.
Yeah that's an easy drive from KC. Will probably have to do it except for the will be 8.5 month old daughter and that it's on a Monday night. We're also discussing a vacation to Minneapolis to visit family the weekend after so that may trump this.
The prices of the tickets for pre-season games are fucking stupid. They are charging NFL ticket prices for a meaningless game in August.
Yeah it's ridiculous. It's nice to get together with a larger group of supporters and to see the players live in action but to be honest, the pre-season matches I've seen in the US have been somewhat underwhelming. Just gonna save whatever I would have spent this summer to see them for a trip to Liverpool this fall.
I'm anxiously waiting to get the fixture list because I am planning to try and get over to Pool for the home opener. My company has a facility right outside of Liverpool and I'm hoping I can use that to my advantage like I did last December.
Looking forward to the fixture list coming out too. My grandmother passed away this week, left me 5k in her will specifically to take a trip over to London as she had heard me talk about wanting to go this year. What a lady.
