Agree he hasn't played well since he came back from injury and while he was at fault for the 2nd goal today, I disagree that he's been at fault for almost every goal.

Sakho consistently let's the ball bounce in the box when he can clearly head the ball away. That alone has been the cause of most of our goals allowed recently.

Can't believe Illini is trying to defend Sakho. He has indeed been at fault for the majority of goals.... Especially lately. He is terrible. It would be a huge mistake to only replace Skrtel this summer. I think we should start playing Danny Ward in goal and see what he can do.
At this point I really think we need 6 or 7 new faces in the starting 11 if we want to contend. It really is embarrassing how bad we have become. The only 4 I would keep are Firmino, Coutinho, Henderson, Clyne, and maybe Moreno even though I think he doesn't have a brain and defends poorly at times. Hendo has been really shitty but I think that has everything to do with his heel.
Lack of pace is killing the side. Lallana, Milner, Sakho, lovern and Can (inconsistent) are not good enough. Things will get better when coutinho and origi come back.
Defense has been porous and Migs' play is bad (broken record for the last three years or more). Injuries to all of our offensive options save Firmino and Benteke. And we know how Benteke has looked. That being said the team has had opportunities in games and haven't taken advantage of them. Europa or bust.

I heard someone say if you flipped Vardy, mahrez, and Kante for Benteke, Milner, and Lucas we'd be near the top of the league and I agree. I also think the defense is a lot better if we had a real keeper. Just as a hypothetical but if we lined up Ter Steegan/Horn/Trapp Clyne-lovren-Sakho-Moreno Geiss/Xhaka-Henderson/Can Sane-Firmino-Coutino Michy/Lacazette/PEA Something like that puts us in top 4 contention right away. We have no creativity in the midfield, no clinical finisher up top that can stretch defenses, no shield for our defense, and whatever the fuck Simon Bogdan has become

What is the old adage, you need 3 class players to carry the team? Firmino is making a case for himself but that's it on this squad. I know we need some pace out wide but I hope we start bringing in quality down the spine first with a GK, CB, DM and/or CM being the priorities. Need to decide something on Sturridge and Benteke and at this point it makes sense to sell them to help finance a true first choice to be backed up by Origi and Ings. Tough spot because I just can't see a reason to keep Benteke or how you go into next year with only Sturridge, Origi and Ings, maybe Firmino is the safety net. With the TV monies, someone will pay 10-15 for Benteke even with his wages. It's gonna get stupid this summer, hoping we can sell one of our underachieving Brits for a huge fee but Wenger will probably be a dick and keep all of them.
No bottom of the table clubs pay anyone 140k a week. If you are willing to take a bath on his transfer fee then it is possible to move him I guess, I just don't see teams lining up given his performance so far this year.
He's terrible for liverpools system, he isn't terrible for everyone's system. Someone will look at what he did at villa and rationalize he can do that at their club. The person Liverpool will never be rid of is fucking James Milner. That's just an unforgivable move

Hell, the current top 2 teams in the league don't pay anyone 140k a week. Your best hope for getting him free and clear off the books is likely China. At least you didn't pay a fee for Milner. Sure he can be a decent backup winger if Klopp can build enough talent to not have to start him. I'd take Milner over our RWs this year.

Maybe I'm wrong but I think Ings getting injured was a devastating injury for us. I really think we would be so much better with him. He is perfect in this system. I think he will be a big player for us next season.
Liverpool couldn't give him away in 13/14 and he had to go out on loan. Bayern released him from his contract after 1 year. I'm glad he's on a team that's doing well this year, but he's not a great goalkeeper any more
Reina did have a bad year which then caused us to go out and sign a keeper. He was treated extremely poorly after that poor season for someone who loved the club and stayed with us during rough times. He understood the fans and he was very well liked. When I went to the training session in Miami before the utd game a few years ago, he stayed with Stevie signing every autograph fans wanted which was over an hour. BR and the rest of the team went straight to the locker room and didn't acknowledge the fans.
