Anfield HQ@AnfieldHQ96 14s14 seconds ago Judging by Rodgers' recent selections it appears that Dejan Lovren will start at Stoke at the expense of Mamadou Sakho. #lfc (James Pearce) So our left side is going to be an 18 year old center back from Charlton at left back and Dejan Lovren at center back. What could go wrong?
This Is Anfield @thisisanfield 3h3 hours ago That Adama Traore rumour was firmly quashed earlier today thisisanfield.com/2015/08/liverpool-will-not-sign-adam-traore-barcelona-claims-journalist/…
Ya but those at least had value at some point (and almost became legendary jerseys). The Balotelli jersey was basically worthless after his first month at the club.
Sheyi Ojo @sheyi_ojo 2h2 hours ago Happy to announce that I've signed a new long term deal with @LFC , exciting times ahead..
Oh my god. Fuck off Lovren. Seriously just fuck off. :illinimad: For real though. Guy hasn't shown promising form or ability since...fuck has he ever not sucked for us?
Lovren has been bad his entire career except for about 4 months when he had Wanyama and Schneiderlan sitting in front of him babysitting him.
Best case: 4th place, Semis of Europa, one cup win of some sort My gut: 5th place, quarters of Europa, lose in cup Championship Worst case:6th or 7th place, don't move out of group in Europa, lose to third tier in FA Cup and no other cup win
I'm hoping for 4th and some deep cup runs but I think we're going to end up League: 6th Europa: Out in the round of 16 (look at my optimism!) FA/Captial One Cup: I think we make it to the quarters in one of these. I think this is Brendan's last year with us but I thought that after Stoke last year too. I've reversed my position and actually think Benteke is going to be not terrible for us but think we concede too many goals to challenge for anything important.
Best case: 4th, Deep run in Europa and Cups (don't think we win anything this year) Worst case: 6th, dont make it out of group play, knocked out early in the cups Likely: in between those and we keep BR for another year.
I think we finished 5th. Don't see anybody dropping out of that top 4 and Spurs haven't done anything that has impressed me. I think we will make a run in both the cups.
Obviously not an exact science, but this means we have to win both home games and an away game in our first 5 to get a top 4 finish. Might I suggest Stoke as a must win game, even if it is the first game of the season? This is especially true since our October is just brutal. Bournemouth and West Ham at home and ManU/Arsenal are the other two away games.
Sounds like Firmino isn't ready to start yet due to fitness and will come of the bench Sunday. Hope that means Ibe starts.
New city, new language, new league. Ease him in so if he doesn't have a good first game, people aren't jumping on his back. Plus we have plenty of midfielders to start. Make him the super sub and ease him in.
With that price tag, the crowd is gonna be on his back regardless of how long brenda takes to put him in
Well, the speculation was fun while it lasted: @Liverpool_FC_: Alexandre Lacazette agrees new Lyon deal to end nonsense speculation of surprise #LFC move
Anfield HQ@AnfieldHQ96 5h5 hours ago FSG felt last year that while under-achieving in 2014-15, Rodgers had been hampered by circumstances beyond his control. #lfc (James Pearce) ok
Right, he's one of the most expensive signings in LFC history. He's just not one of Brendan's "premier league proven" chosen ones so he gets left out. If you aren't from the UK or haven't played in the premier league, Brendan has never heard of you.
