The scene was originally supposed to be the bloody Juggernaut bitch instead of QS, but Fox/Singer changed it after they heard QS was going to be in AoU.
Even if you're not a comics nerd, Marvel is running is special that gives you a free month of Marvel: Unlimited. It gives you access to pretty much every Marvel comic older than six months. If you enjoy the films, I suggest you give it a shot. There are some great stories. I'm sure some of us ITT could provide some good suggestions. http://marvel.com/ultron
Excellent. Definitely the darkest Marvel property so far, but that's why I love it. Way better than Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter.
Rewatching GOTG... 1. Pretty much any dialogue involving Drax is classic. 2. Rocket and Groot CGI are impeccable 3. So many Easter eggs and running jokes. Ya making me beat up grass!
It's a long way down the road, but I'd love to see Gunn get the nod for the next Avengers after Infinity War.
Whoa. This might be the worst attempt at Photoshop I've ever seen. All of the characters look so out-of-place everywhere. They just dropped a bunch of pictures on top of one another. Seriously? Is this real or fan made?
Yes marvel posters make my eyes hurt. Except the ant man one where he's really small. That was a good one
Movie posters in general have taken a step back. Drew Struzan left a hole in the industry that hasn't been filled.
So for the AoS fans. Spoiler when they find the guest house are we supposed to know who that blue dude was?
not immediately since that episode was before several MCU movies, but in season 2 it gets all revealed.
Just saw the movie, loved it. Loved all the characters being in it. Kept waiting for Falcon to join in with War Machine in the final fight scene. My 10 year old son yelled out "Assemble" at the very end that made most of the sold out theater laugh. No real disappointment in the movie like some of you nitpickers but I also haven't read that many of the comics. Only real disappointment was the fact there was only one post movie scene. ps. You guys aren't playing hide the Zucchini are you? That had me crying real tears.
I forgot to ask, clearly Cap was about to say "assemble" at the end but they cut it, is there some inside joke there?
I wasn't blown away by IM3 when I watched it. It had some enjoyable parts and some massive plot holes. It also ruined The Mandarin. But it's not until I saw AOU this weekend, that IM3's misses started bothering me more. The more I think about it, the more angry I got. Like, this is the first movie that Stark has appeared in, where you couldn't clearly see the reactor in his chest at some point in the movie. Is Whedon running with that part of the story, or did he purposely avoid it? We've already discussed the blundering of not only introducing Ant-Man, but the proper development of Ultron. AOU: Loved Spader's Ultron. Fuck anyone that disliked. His ability to snap into psychopath mode anytime someone mentioned Stark was amazing. Vision was spot-on. I love Bettany, so I'm glad they finally made him more than a voice. Twins were fantastic. I'm not upset about QS dying, and think SW will be really great in future movies. They did a very quick nod to the comic lovely story of her and Vision, when he lifted her away from the reactor at the end. Wonder if they'll explore that. Wish I hadn't read discussion about Hawkeye being setup to die the entire movie...because now I can't figure out if I recognized it because it was well done, or if because I already knew. I'm okay with the Banner/BW dynamic. It can't continue, but it was cool to play with for this movie. I'm assuming the "Avengers" that Cap had assembled plus Thor are the makings of his side of Civil War WTF was that scene with Thor and the magic pool? It was bit like Paul Walker sneaking back into America in FF6, in the middle of the movie, and didn't make a lot of sense.
They realized they fucked up The Mandarin bc they put out that stupid little short film after the fact to try to fix it.
Real Mandarin could still be in play (hopefully). I wouldn't mind seeing him turn up in Doctor Strange or Inhumans.
IM3 was atrocious. Shane Black did a terrible job. Introducing the idea of Ultron in IM3 would have made AOU flow a lot better instead of Banner and Stark having to create him in a 3 minute montage.
I guess I am one of the few that feels like the introduction/creation of ultron was perfectly fine. Then again i am a casual fan and really didn't know much about him outside the film.
An operative for the Ten Rings poses as a journalist to interview Trevor (fake Mandarin) in prison. He's really there to break him out for the real Mandarin.
I thought he killed Trevor at the end (for impersonating the real Mandarin). I think I'll have to rematch it.
I was responding to prerecordedlive saying it was part of the bad language joke. I figured it was just a funny thing they threw in there, but I'm not a comic guy so wasn't sure if there was anything else to it
No Thor in Civil War. It's possible that the movie takes place at the same time as Ragnarok. Dont know about that though, but he's not in CW.
Nah I'm just fucking around. bigpig is right. Whedon was just playing around. I thought the last scene was perfect that way.
Well, I say Civil War, but I really mean the event, not the movie. I'm assuming some of the "CW" backlash/story will roll into the first part(at least) of the IW movies.
Alright I'm gonna like it because I'm excited, but I don't get where all the white spray is coming from, the windows look pretty intact... Radiator fluid or cum?
