getting those villains would be so big for the cosmic portion of the universe. I assume they will have to lean heavily on that going forward too as RDJ & Evans won't be around forever.
If true, you have to think Doom will play a large role in Phases 4-6 and the big bad will focus around a Secret Invasion storyline. And that is fucking awesome.
So it was confirmed today Hulk is playing a major role in Thor: Ragnarok. This might hint toward one of those recently announced yet untitled films being Planet Hulk, IMO. Maybe Thanos is responsible? Gets Hulk out of the way for Infinity War Part 1 and sets up a royally pissed one coming back in Part 2.
Fox has all but made the property worthless to themselves (with help from Marvel playing hardball and not licensing toys and merchandise). With how hot superhero shows are it's not a bad deal for Fox.
I'm still holding out hope that Marvel gets the rights to F4 in time to film it for 2019. It makes perfect sense to begin phase IV with the F4, no origin story needed.
With the damage Fox has done I think they almost would have to introduce them in another film before giving them a stand alone project.
I guess, but they are such a critical part of the Marvel Universe that they can be utilized in just about any of the other marvel movies.
I think Kinberg and/or Singer all but confirmed that there was a plan for X-Men/F4 crossover. No way Marvel would be willing to give up whatever Fox would want.
Yes. And this shit will happen, regardless of anything getting debunked. Not that I know anything but Marvel is going to create an amazing universe within TV and Film. Genius. And I'm hoping for cross-network team ups. Everyone wins. Everyone.
That looks really good. I'm curious what the timeline of Jessica being a superhero is going to be in relation to the MCU.
From his little rant about heroes in the JJ trailer, I am thinking he has powers, but doesn't use them.
Well, he got his powers by volunteering for an experiment while in prison, so I was guessing flashbacks. But I guess he could be powerless and gets sent to prison after the events in JJ.
GOTG 2 has started casting. Too bad Gunn couldn't get McConaughey for the villain role. http://variety.com/2015/film/news/pom-klementieff-guardians-of-the-galaxy-2-1201629203/
The guesses I've read already she's either casted for Mantis or Moondragon. And now what's the villain they wanted McConaughey to play? Korvac?
According to Deadline she is playing Mantis http://deadline.com/2015/10/sand-ca...lementieff-in-mystery-role-mantis-1201597456/
Bet the Civil War trailer will premiere during perhaps the final episode of the 1st Half of AoS. ---- Initial rumors had suggested that the first official trailer for Captain America: Civil War would debut next week with the release of the next James Bond movie Sceptre, but a new report suggests the teaser will come a bit later. According to the credible Collider, Disney is planning to showcase the first visuals from the 2016 Marvel threequel closer to Christmas by attaching the trailer to the highly-anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie, which hits theaters December 18, 2015.
Yeah, last season they showed Agent Carter in between the two halves and are doing so again this year I believe.
Casting for this movie continues to be amazing, guy was awesome in Boardwalk Empire According to The Hollywood Reporter, Michael Stuhlbarg (who can currently be seen opposite Michael Fassbender in Jobs) is the latest addition to the cast of Doctor Strange. He joins Benedict Cumberbatch, Rachel McAdams, Tilda Swinton, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Mads Mikkelsen. The trade mentions the Hannibal star as being part of the cast, so he's presumably now officially signed up for a role. Going back to Stuhlbarg, and while the site doesn't have any word on who he's playing,Variety does. Apparently, the Boardwalk Empire actor has been cast as Nicodemus West. They describe him as a rival scientist, but comic book fans will know him better as the big bad of Brian K. Vaughan and Marcos Martin's Doctor Strange: The Oath. He's the one who operated on Strange's hands after his accident and also received training from The Ancient One. With McAdams rumoured to be paying Night Nurse, it's clear this movie is borrowing elements from that limited series...
I cannot wait to see Cumberbatch as Strange. If you watch Sherlock, then you know he pulls off the haughty intellectual role incredibly well. He'll do a fantastic job of selling Strange as utterly unlikeable at the beginning of the film, and his subsequent transformation into Dr. Strange.
If you want to watch a good Stuhlbarg performance, check out A Serious Man. Possibly the Coens' most underrated film.
Jesus, be still my heart, Mads is going to be in both the MCU and SW anthology? I can't take all this joy.
"You hit puberty early... and HARD!" I love Ryan Reynolds. He seems like he'd be a riot to go out drinking with for a night.
Punisher instead of Iron Fist? Love Punisher, but I'd be disappointed. Spoiler Is Marvel About To Abandon Its IRON FIST Series And Greenlight A PUNISHER Series Instead?? Published at: Nov. 2, 2015, 7:59 p.m. CST by hercules I am – Hercules!! Rumor has it that Marvel is having difficulty finding a showrunner for its long-greenlit “Iron Fist” Netflix series, and could end up reducing the hero’s adventures to a TV movie. According to the same source, Marvel execs are apparently underwhelmed by the “Iron Fist” pitches it’s getting from the writers interviewing to oversee the project. The rumor suggests that Netflix will substitute a new series focusing on Frank “The Punisher” Castle (played by “Walking Dead” vet Jon Bernthal on the upcoming second season of “Daredevil”) and that Castle will join Matt “Daredevil” Murdoch, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage in the channel’s long-ago greenlit “Defenders” team-up series. If any of this proves true, I would guess that Iron Fist would remain part of the “Defenders” series. Because why not? “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” vets Drew Goddard and Steven S. DeKnight were showrunners on the first season of “Daredevil.” Another “Buffy” vet, Doug Petrie, is running season two of “Daredevil.” Melissa Rosenberg, who scripted the “Twilight” vampire movies, is running “Jessica Jones.” Cheo Coker, who wrote for “Southland” and “NCIS Los Angeles,” is running “Luke Cage.” Also, here are all the taglines for Jessica Jones. Sounds like someone we know will be showing up in the finale. Spoiler Learn What's Ahead For JESSICA JONES!! Will Matt Murdock Turn Up??
