    I think its getting closer for the MLS to catchup. Problem is MLS rosters still aren't strong enough to carry them over from the Regular Season to the US Open Cup to the Playoffs and then Champions League as well. By 2015 the gap will be pretty close if there at all.

    The youth system is improving big time, but it's just going to take years to see the results. Mexico's had the youth infrastructure in place 30+ years now.

    Mexico is perhaps the most underachieving country in the world when it comes to soccer. By far the #1 sport in a country with a large population (70 million more people than Argentina), and youth/pro infrastructure in place for a long time now.
