Didn't he interview for more than one job after TT before WSU? I know he interviewed with Maryland. Everyone seemed to think that the only reason he had trouble finding another coaching job was that he's an asshole and/or too weird.

I really don't understand people who think he's shitty. He's been moderately to quite successful in two jobs that are bad to meh sorry tech fans.
Consistently top 3 in the south, with a chance to win the conference every 6 years or so is a pretty good job at Tech.
It's not good if you forget that tech is historically a pretty meh football program and that Washington st is even worse.
I mean ffs tech hadn't won a conference title since 1994 when spike dykes went 6-6 in the last dying breath of the SWC. Before that it was 1976 and before that it was 1955. Yet he tied for the conference division while Texas was still actually Texas and OU was killing it.
Hell if I know. If he was some elite level coach he'd have won more games and would coach somewhere besides Wazzu and he wouldn't have so many shitty losses He's an amazing interview, average coach
