I've always thought about that, a major and minor foul in the box. Major is awarded a PK. Minor maybe an indirect from the spot, free kick from anywhere outside the box, corner even, I don't know I'm drunk but it seems to make sense.
it makes sooo much sense. but it's new. nobody knows what a hand ball in the box is anymore. plays like what just happened happen all the time. happened to the red bulls last week but they didn't get the PK because that's such a huge call. I say fuck the box. any DOGSO anywhere on the field is a penalty. any incidental foul is a direct kick no closer than 25 yards away
Also, sporting got eliminated like 2 rounds ago so no one gives a shit about the open cup. Lmbo. Waste of time....

H/T not a bad match to watch. Sporting actually showed movement and creativity at times in the attacking 1/3. Only like the second time all year. Amazed you guys only got two with our random keeper off the street and Kevin 'worst defender in organized soccer history' Ellis playing half the match. Even with the gutter trash keeper gift wrapping you that second goal. Urruti seems like the same guy I hated with Portland, cost you guys about 3 really really good attacking chances. No idea what it is when Dom faces you guys but Sporting needs to hire a hypnotist to trick him into thinking he's playing Dallas every match. Long story short, you guys are better but luckily your legs died at the 60th so I'm happy sporting got a point.
Minnesota will officially be announced today for starting next season. They'll play at TCF Bank Stadium while their new stadium is under construction.
I went to the big announcement ceremony tonight, was pretty cool. Twellman (from Minnesota) and Garber were there. People around the team love that we stuck with United FC but to me that's as faux-Euro as it gets. Wish they would have gone with something more unique like Loons SC.
