soulfly not sure even the cup can drown my sorrows if you guys come back and make playoffs and we miss it. wooooooffffff
The Don is coming to Cincinnati next month to talk to team and city officials plus some type of public appearance. Know he's been to lots of other places in the past but it's crazy how much Cincinnati has gotten on the radar of MLS after just one year.
All tied up!!! The SKC telecast said sporting had the tiebreaker whatever that is. I don't want to be one of "those fans" but if the Timbers knock sporting out next week I'm cool. SKC does a lot of things brilliantly but also need a wake up call and getting bounced early in the open and CCL cups and missing the playoffs hopefully will wake them up. Will I be pissed if they pull a Timbers and go from mediocre to MLS cup winners? Hell no. But I wasn't devastated at the missed pk in today games that would of given them 3 and almost guaranteed them a spot.
Mediocre makes the playoffs though. I think it's embarrassing but both divisions will have playoff team(s) that couldn't manage more wins than losses
Acosta has a hip injury as well. Super Mauro is a huge hit to the playoffs and FCD chances. Acosta can be replaced but what Diaz does really cant.
Will know more today they said but not likely he will be ready for the start of next season. One of the guys last night was saying if the Achilles tendon is fully torn he will probably expect him back in Mayish possible sooner or later. Not sure how legit that is but seems to be a long injury to come back from.
I think it is win and in for both SKC and PTFC. With RSL and Seattle playing, they both can't get all 3 points. My guess: PTFC draw at Vancover RSL win over Seattle SKC win at San Jose Tiebreaker is between Seattle and PTFC on goal differential which Seattle wins because they lose by one goal to RSL RSL host SKC in play in game Galaxy host Seattle
Portland will go an entire season without winning on the road if they lose at Vancouver. So we'll definitely lose. And we wouldn't have Chara and Ridgewell.
yeah that's why I picked draw but thinking about it, they'll be sending guys forward like crazy with nothing to lose at the end so it actually isn't a likely result. Loss more likely.
The amazing thing, Portland had the best road record the previous 3 years. This year if you took a mining pit and filled it with trash it still wouldn't be an accurate description of the size of the dumpster fire the Timbers have been on the road. As for tie-breaker between us and SKC it's goal differential of -1 to -2. That won't come into play because San Jose isnt about to score 2 goals on the road.
Crew sent out a survey to fans that they've hired a consulting firm and wanted feedback about a new stadium
Crew attendance hasn't been great but they think it being in a bad area factors into that. Last year or so there's been a lot of talk about a new stadium down by the arena where the Blue Jackets play and where they built a stadium for the AAA baseball team. Better area, more people in the area, they think would boost attendance. Bigger stadium would appease USSF too. Oldest stadium in the league too. It's also on the state fairgrounds so fairgrounds sets parking cost which has been going up so somewhere else they might have some control over parking as well. Personally, I don't see the need. It isn't a very nice stadium but attendance isn't going to see a large enough boost to justify it. I'd rather see them try to do renovations to the current stadium
Had to watch on fb live but really good coverage quality. Went down 0-2 and was a pretty bad feeling but then came 5 straight. Bring on Sunday and the Galaxy
I've had about enough of MLS's bullshit kickoff times. They can't be taken seriously if they can't kickoff within 5 mins of the scheduled time. Europe sure as fuck doesn't get away with that.
I said it itt before but I'm 100% confident that the lying about start times is negotiated in the deals with ESPN and Fox
Yep, Fox is the king of this. Fox kept saying the Dodgers/Cubs games started at 7et, but first pitch wasn't until shortly after 8et.
