I saw a tweet from a guy stating the obvious that Nascar has worked really hard to get away from being associated with this sort of thing. What a monumentally stupid thing to say.
Hopefully everyone sees through the inevitable apology he makes that "he normally doesn't use that language" because he sounded way too comfortable saying it
It’ll say something like, “as a minority myself, I understand the hurt my words can cause.... blah blah”
"i made a mistake and said the word that should never ever be said" (but i say it all the time) "i wasn't raised that way" (clearly i was raised that way) then goes on to apologize to friends and family and his race team before mentioning black folks
Larson would have been way down the list of guys i would have guessed to get in trouble for using that word.
Oof. I know all the old heads in the Charlotte/Mooresville area have given up on it. I guess they found another route to engage younger fans.
I only listened once, but that’s not how I heard it. It seemed like he was trying to see if they could hear him on the chat and then he just said “n word” to get reaction if they were listening.
He lost his manufacture backing from Chevrolet too. There went his ticket to Hendrick to replace Johnson. Although, that was gone as soon as this happened. Maybe Stewart will take him but I doubt it. He very well might be out of the 3 main series for at least a year and maybe resurface in 2022 for some single car team.
Gonna play this one. From the last 45 mins of research I've put in, I'm rolling with a lot of similar drivers. Cheap guys I am throwing darts at are Ty Dillon, Chris Bell, Reddick, Nemechek, Lajoie. I've got 10 different lineups
