Lyft seems way easier than Uber. Uber has another company that wants multiyear MVR reports because my TN license is less than a year old (I just got it last summer). They want a 10 year TN MVR, TN only offers a 3 year according to their website and it only says on mine that I transferred my AL license to TN. Not sure if that's enough. Lyft just asked for my previous license number and state and they'll run the check on both.
Crisis negotiators had to talk down a guy from atop the Natchez Trace Bridge. He was up there for four hours If you're a transplant and you've never done so be sure to take a drive from downtown out onto Hwy 100 and then turn onto Hwy 96 and take it into Franklin
A colleague of mine used to work for the Williamson county sheriffs office. He has said that this is actually very common at that bridge.
Doing a quick trip this weekend, driving in from Atlanta Saturday morning and staying around Vandy. This is a work in progress. Saturday (arrive late morning) check out Vanderbilt Lunch - Biscuit Love capitol, downtown things Dinner - Hattie Bs stumble around gulch and/or music row Sunday Brunch - Husk Johnny Cash Museum Dinner - Prima or 404 Kitchen, idkmybffjill Monday Breakfast - Puckett's Lunch - Arnold's gtfo
May do Princes and east Nashville Monday afternoon. I love hot chicken but I hate hipsters... struggle is real.
If you're already doing Hattie B's I would stick with Arnold's on Monday. Shit, even if you arent, I'd stick with Arnold's. It's my favorite lunch in Nashville.
It is a smoking bar; however, I think that Broadway Brewhouse is an excellent sports bar right across the street from Hattie B's.
I didnt even realize that. Is Puckett's breakfast that good? I've only been for lunch/dinner Pinewood social has a great breakfast. Although its a little froo-froo
I'll have to try Pinewood. I like the breakfast sandwiches from Porter Road and the biscuits n gravy from Big Al's. Didn't think much of Puckett's.
Only thing that is worth doing in the gulch besides eating is Hops and crafts. Good spot to sit out on a patio (it's small) and grab a beer, usually not crowded which is great but I also only really go there on week nights or odd hours of the day. Go to Otaku instead of biscuit love, fucking love that place. 404 kitchen/watermark also both good, M street stuff is good, other than that nothing worth wasting time and checking out in the gulch IMO. Just a bunch of people of too poor to live in LA try hards. Pine street pool is still filled with nice secenery though, whoever made cheeky/thong type bathing suites acceptable is a god.
Typical Nashville airport. Security is slammed by the Southwest side. Walk a few hundred feet and pre check has 2 people in it.
Also, bringing my dog. Any trails or shit I can hit up? You know gf be about taking those "look at me I'm outdoors with a dog" pics.
Percy Warner Park is great. There will be a ton of dogs around. If you walk up the huge set of stairs at the end of belle meade boulevard, go basically straight into the woods at the top of them and there is a trail marked with white paint. Its about a 2.5 mile loop that isnt too difficult. Yes. Although I might not do both Monell's and Arnolds in one trip. Same food type. I would recommend either one, honestly. Both are so good.
They are still in East Nashville. My wife and I ate dinner there last Saturday night. That steak sandwich if fire as fuck.
I've had like 9 people tell me to go to Pinewood while I'm there this weekend. Is it overrated? How crowded can I expect it to be?
I mean, it's fine. You certainly aren't going to have a bad time or bad food there. With that having been said, it is almost as smug as George Clooney's 2006 Oscars acceptance speech
the Weimar Beer Belly what's a good bar around 5 points that's not too hipstery to the point that I'll be ostracized for not being a hipster but also is a cool bar
