What are your feelings on Martin's BBQ? Sounds like we are getting one in my neighborhood (Cahaba Heights, Birmingham).
Peg leg half a slab of dry Mac n cheese and green beans hits the damn spit every time. Anyone been downtown/ by the stadium past hour? A bunch of helicopters, big ass drone and an osprey (I think) have been flying over, don't know what's going on been watching them make their rounds from the office.
Speaking of MBA, a member of the class of 2005 appears in epsidode 1 of the second season of Narcos. He is the handsome blonde guy who does blow and tries to punch the protagonist
He worked as a model in HS and then as an accountant for some TV shows after college. Must have leveraged his good looks into some small roles
Went on a nolensville ethnic food excursion last night...mind boggling how many restaurants are there
If it's real acidy it will. Which sucks cause i love Italian food but all that tomato in a lot of it tears me up. I can do mild spicy/hot just have to make sure I toon my nexium that day and probably have a zantac or two with me.
I imagine a lot of middle eastern food wouldn't bother you...got this delicious lamb shank dish with the best rice I've ever had...it was more than enough for two people and it was $15...and it tasted like something that would cost $30 for a single serving at some nice restaurant. And had a Cornish hen kabob that was some of the best poultry I've ever had...also cheap as shit. We were going to go to this kurdish market that makes their own bread but it was closed...the lamb and goat cheese naan pizza type thing looks amazing
I could definitely do all of that. One of the local shop guys when I was in afghan would always give us that bread they make with rice and stuff. Really liked it.
Dairy Queen what is the name of the place where that lamb is from? I love going on random food hunts. Buford Highway in Atlanta is a great stretch. Can't count how many times we would smoke and go eat crazy shit back in high school.... Good times
Vn Pho and Deli, Korea House, Miss Saigon and Lucky Bamboo China Bistro I also love Golden Thai next to 2Danes and Jersey Mike's
I too enjoy spending money to get pissed off at myself on the weekends. Played ted rhodes for $20 yesterday, forgot how diverse it is over there. I held my breathe when I found out I was playing with one other person.. Ended up playing with some guy from San Fran who whooped my ass and went 2 under. Serves me right
Will be flying in Sunday morning for a work trip. Leave Tuesday night. Staying at the Omni. Any good spots to go out or things to do on a Sunday or Monday night? Not sure what our schedules will be like during the day yet.
My dad may have some extra Ryder Cup tickets for sale. He's got an extra one to like Wed, Thur, and Saturday I believe. I was going with him but too many bills popped up and he's not sure if my brother can go. If he decides to sell them I'll y'all know.
Everyone is out day drinking on Sundays although it looks like it may be some rain this weekend. The first post in the thread has a lot of the best spots.
Sunday brunch options for my wife's bday? Preferably one with a Bloody Mary bar and good mimosas. Other than Mad Donnas.
Depends on what you're into. Sunday funday in 5 points is the best area of the city for day drinking, I think. Also on Monday night The Basement East has "Freak Me Mondays" which is a hip hop dance party that all of the goth chicks and hot boujie hipster chicks go to. It gets pretty packed.
Met my buddy there yesterday for a beer after work. He lives like three blocks away and goes all the time. It was pretty empty when we were there.
