They won a title and he played a key role in helping them do it. But his value was very inflated at that time, too, because the media loves everything Warriors. I get that they couldn't trade him at the time because of the optics, but even during that title run his playoff averages were 16.5 PPG, 7.5 RPG (a massive outlier from career averages) and 2 APG on 47% FG, 33% 3FG and 68% FT. He was terrific defensively that year, but on a team that had crazy contracts everywhere, I never understood the rush to resign him.
I think them being able to move off the D'Lo contract so quickly/successfully might've given them a false sense that they could trade any contract no matter who or how bad if they absolutely needed to
Brother, if Lana Rhodes asked me at 25 to hang around her and interview her I'm not going to say no I don't believe most people on this board would say no either
No. China is the 2nd biggest league. He'll have a hard time finding someone to take him in Europe. He will be sent to the pits of South American Basketball.
what an insane bag fumble even if he wasn't good enough for the league, he surely could've had a career with denver on a minimum like all of the other nepo signees. he cost himself millions.
Some big time soccer players have been banned in Europe of gambling recently. Aint no one over there touching him if they're willing to ban soccer stars for like a full calendar years. His career is over
From what I heard it's really depending where you go. I got two guys that smoke at the shop, one was Austin Peay and the other was Penn State. Both went overseas and both said Europe>>>>South America. But it also is because there is way more money over there.
South America will. The amount of South Americans, especially Argentinian, tennis players that have been caught match fixing is crazy big.
Our guy really immersed himself in the culture and appears fluent in Portuguese or whatever it is they speak there.
Tonali should've been given a lifetime ban. He was moving flagrant as fuck too It's crazy it took them that long to catch him.
Last night they had a broadcast with live lines updated every second and really only talking about betting. Saying stuff like "you have to keep your fanduel account open during the game and be ready, you never know when you're going to need to press the button!"
This is a bet you make if you’re trying to get the attention of authorities if you’re kidnapped. Good lord Jontay.
I think Philly has them beat but it's close. Simmons situation Fultz forgetting how to shoot the ball Hiring Doc Rivers (self inflicted but still) All the random Embid injuries that have absoutely nothing to do with his foot. This man got an orbital bone injury twice in the same fucking year
This topic has always interested me. (Coincidentally, two more former Mizzou players) -Talked to one who played in Italy for almost a decade. Pay was pretty good, said the lifestyle was awesome. -A former walk on who played in Norway of all places. Think he was only making like 70K per year, (probably closer to 100k/year now with inflation, I suppose) however the team took care of his housing, food, and a car, so he had virtually no expenses and was pretty much just pocketing everything he made. Didn't sound bad at all.
Better the hamstring than the achilles, but that still fucking sucks. Zion (and the Pels) deserve their moment.
that Zion injury was so bizarre in the moment. didn't look like anything but he immediately knew it was a wrap. hopefully its nothing major even if it ruins this post season.
Sucks for Zion because he was elite last night carrying the rest of those fucking bums, then gets injured after dragging those losers back into the fucking game Hoping he can just keep that energy going into next season and just dominate.
https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/overseas-basketball-salaries-by-country Australia is very small league. It fits in between Europe & South America. As a degenerate gambler and someone that has gambled on this. European basketball is very similar to college. No real pace, get half court and set up the offense. 4 Quarters of 10 Minutes each. Chinese league is very similar to NBA. A lot of 3 pointers, fast pace of play and 4 Quarters of 12 Minutes. The stories I have heard and how amazing they all loved it. They also say that being a 6'6 Black Man in Europe, the amount of women that flock to them was CRAZY They each said the hardest part is understanding you're not living your dream from the start and getting to the NBA. But once they get over that and have an open mind, they love their experience. I bet on EuroLeague sometimes and enjoy watching it and seeing the players that we all remember from College days ballin out. Mike James, Scottie Wilbiken, etc.
