Probably because it's just for one game and we've seen way worse alternate game uniforms, this doesn't even phase us. When you've endured this you can endure anything and this
Damn I forgot about those. That's just sad. Why the hell do they insist on incorporating so much black? I understand the blackshirt linebacker thing, but that was a practice jersey right? I feel like part of my childhood has died looking at these monstrosities. :(
I like the idea of having an alternate uni, just not by Adidas. I'm also team, wear white pants on the road.
The problem with alternate unis is that people tie them way too much to the outcome of the game they were introduced and it can open up Pandora's box of doing a million of them. I wouldn't mind if Auburn wore an orange jersey every once in a while, but I'd rather stick to what got us here than go down a road that led to this:
Nebraska Huskers @Huskers 5h5 hours ago @darrenrovell The new look features metallic red numbers with a forged steel outline, and you as a model. #teamadidas
we have the worst athletic department in the country but damn im so fucking happy we just have under armour and not adidas
The longhorn logo on the Texas helmet will have the chrome/metallic look to it this year. And Troy has a new black helmet that should be there fulltime look.
Texas whites are cleaner than a dog's dick, the chrome longhorn is subtle but still kinda flashy. I dig it
Way too much shit going on in one place in Texas's jerseys. Longhorn logo is unnecessary. Big 12 and Nike logos should move further away from the chest or completely over to the shoulders or something.
Disagree. These companies cough cough Adidas are trying to get you to look at their logo and not the universities
It's the Longhorn logo that's the issue...even though it's a much better logo than Nikes or the Big 12s.
I know what you mean. I think the same thing about Bama's sometimes when you look at a jersey that isn't being worn. Those things seem to spread apart a little when wearing the jersey with pads though.
I don't think it would look like as much of a problem as it does if Nike's jersey template didn't have about 30 seams in it. They cant put the Big XII logo or Swoosh any further out to either side because of the seam running up to the neck. If that weren't there and they could slide each one over a bit it wouldn't look as crowded. I also hate the vent down the front of the Nike jerseys this year. The new whites FSU got halfway through the season last year had them. Looks cheap.
Saw a pic of a blue Kansas jersey, has the terrible Adidas fabric and screen printed silver numbers. I swear to god if Nebraska's regular jerseys have either, fuck.
I'll wait and see, but I feel that will just ruin the "traditional" look even if everything else stays the same.
I know that, but I feel like this year the pattern is way more noticeable. Like whatever the fuck the pattern is, the shapes are way bigger.
