I remember when PSU was hiring Franklin, "Anchor Down" was commonly used by the Vandy fans. water/anchors/navy references seem to be well established there.
I am not a fan of our road uniform or our power ranger unis or our special number font or our black collar, and think our g would look badass on those red or white Utah helmets.
And these pants were so hideous that MSU turned them into practice unis: Or that's the story , at least
They were actually brand new. Adidas sent them for this season but they were so horrid that they decided to use them as practice pants.
Montana's new unis Also Harbaugh has supposedly taken the 'M' off of the maize pants for Michigan this year.
I like the orange and the black one the most Not sure what color scheme they are rolling with though...orange and maroon?
Hey look, four totally different schools. What's that ya say? All for the same school? Don't be stupid. ...............
yep, "copper & gold" were their colors up until the mid 90s. its largely a tribute to the state's mining heritage. coppper, silver, and gold have all been used for the last 100+ years, and the maroon was used as a substitute for copper a LONG time ago when they didnt have sufficient copper dye for uniforms (I know this b/c my grandfather has a house outside of Missoula, I would go out every few years. lots of hippies, snow, and wild fires)
Maroon & silver were primarily the colors used from the start, then in the 60s (I believe) they went to copper & gold full time. I dont know why they went back to maroon & silver, the school was founded in the 1890s, so maybe reverting back to the original colors was a centennial thing...? but as I wrote above, maroon and copper alternated based on what was available to make the uniforms. neither silver or gold were done away with, it was just a matter of what they chose to use for the uniforms. its not Oregon nonsense like "The Ducks" wearing white/silver/black in the biggest game in school history, each of those colors were long established.
