We may have lost this game by 80 but these were amazing Of course this was during a period when we couldn't get our helmets right though. They were more brown and literally changed colors 6 different times that season. Even though the new improved ones wouldn't have matched those pants though. Holy cow.
Except nobody has ever won anything of significance wearing that uniform which destroys the throwback aura. Boom, got'em.
If you guys can get shiny vegas gold pants back please order enough to send some extra to Tallahassee.
We get all these different reasons and excuses why this new shit material is better but i swear its simply because its cheaper and easier for the companies to produce. Ive got a pair of both FSU's old pants and the new ones. It is amazing the difference in quality of the old ones and new ones. The new ones are pure shit.
Can't be a money issue, I'm sure Notre Dame and Florida State would easily fork over the difference in order to get pants that actually match and don't look like shit
But they're *lighter*!! As if 1 extra ounce of fabric on these guys' legs is going to matter. And like you said, lighter doesn't actually mean better. They're far less durable.
Its a money issue for the companies. This new shit is cheaper for them to make but they arent charging any less for it. Yes some schools would pay more for what they want but the companies dont offer it because its easier for them to offer one material for everyone. Plus they had to force everyone into it under the guise that its lighter and all sorts of bullshit performance reasons.
He looks like he is wearing a particularly soiled and saggy diaper. The crotch/thighs area is all out of wack.
That's a pretty standard jersey font, and it's a throwback, so I don't see the issue, other than the numerals being a bit too close together. Your second comment is absolutely correct.
To me, it looks like they're trying to get in on the high-waisted jean look that's so popular right now, to me.
not to sound like a cranky, uninformed idiot found in Facebook comments, but it seems a bit silly that with Nike/UA/Adidas/etc touting how cutting edge their uniforms are, that several teams cannot wear their actual colors. two other instances I can think of are the St Louis Rams (specifically their gold pants) and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
hello, hi we haven't had our silver britches since the turn of the century due to this matte grey shit
Put the stripes on the jersey instead of the stupid ass undershirt. Looks awful with the undershirt sleeves coming down to the elbow.
Have one of the best helmets in the game Replace with something that looks like a tribute to 2Fast 2Furious
Black uniforms for schools that don't have black as one of their colors is just a lazy way to try and look tough/cool. Stop it schools.
