It was pretty enjoyable, except I had to stop watching because of Joe Schmidt. As long as you don't have Joe Schmidt on your team, you will enjoy it (can be said about most things)
I liked It a lot. Especially when nd was playing good(obviously). The toughest part was seeing how the injuries affected the guys, It hit them so hard that the season is over for them it's gut wrenching sometimes.
Pictures of Holtz carrying crown royal at the RNC. Lou Holtz on immigrants: "I don't want to celebrate your holidays, I sure as hell don't want to cheer for your soccer team"
from Mike Frank - for him to be this optimistic is saying something, guy is almost always a pessimist about everything Couple of quick things I think ND has a great shot in getting Michael Young tomorrow. I also am much more optimistic with Hunter Echols. I've heard he's been in good conversation with ND quite a bit recently, and some ND commits as well, and I think ND is in good shape here for now. Also, on Holloman, I've heard ND has had a lot of great communication with he and his family recently. ND cleared a big hurdle when he didn't commit to Georgia after a recent visit. I expect ND to get a visit, and I've heard it's been made clear to ND that he and the family have a real strong interest in ND. Mike
Michael Young@_LikeMike10_ Proud to announce that I've committed to the University of Notre Dame #GoIrish #IRISHE17E
Pete had a nice article today basically said ND is taking 23 maybe 24 this year only. He also said it will be hard pressed to break into the top 5 on the sites without a 5 star as it basically never happens
Being reported on another site that we may be gaining some significant ground with Sarrel so wouldn't rule it out.
The really amazing thing about this class is that it's this good while being completely shut out of Ohio and California. That's usually a death knell for this program.
And with Michigan and Ohio State having top 3 classes as well I was just thinking yesterday while listening to Finebaum- when was the last time the North had 4 of the Top 10 College Football Coaches? It has to have been the 80's? Kelly, Mark D, Harbaugh, Urban all are definitely in the Top 10 right now Also the SEC only has 1 coach in the Top 10 in my mind now (Saban) I'd go with Jimbo, Dabo, Stoops, Shaw, and Peterson to round it out
God it's nice to feel good again. When this board started we had such different worries. Now it's hoping we have a top 5 class. Praise be to Kelly.
this was the actual post from a supposedly very well connected poster on ISD - his info is supposed to be very legit: Sarell -- I'm hearing this... Notre Dame is feeling very good about how his recruiting is going -- and how the parents are feeling as well... if you are wondering about the poster, then there is this Spoiler Jim, a.k.a. irishiyf, is a good guy who is very well placed in the Notre Dame administration. If he said something, he heard something. If he says Notre Dame is feeling good about how Foster's recruitment is going, then there is good reason. Also of note, ISD doesn't let rumors stay up on the board and they have let this go so it's pretty clear there is credibility there.
Seriously? They delete rumors over there? I've never understood that. When I paid for subscriptions to paysites I was paying for the rumors. Facts are free and widely reported.
You're forgetting that Wimbush is finalizing his transfer papers and Zaire and Kizer are about to be indicted for littering on campus. All hail our 4 letters with two repeating vowels sandwiched by consonants QB overlord, Ian Book
Lol. Actually met Wimbush and took a pic with him and baby Irish. Once the suspensions rain down, he'll be ready. Baby Rees will have to wait.
Although Kelly is quite the improvement over Ty and Weis he still hasn't won anything significant. Getting to the title game was huge but ND was exposed and made 2012 look more like fools gold rather than quality coaching. Killy had some close calls with FSU and Clemson but blown out vs other very good teams. Kelly lost to the likes of Rich Rod and Hoke Mich. teams plus Tulsa, Pitt, NW and Navy with superior talent. Guys like Dantonio and Shaw are winning big with far less talent. All the coaches you mentioned have won significant games except Killy. Until Killy actually beats something bigger than a good Navy, soft OU or over achieving MSU I would pump the brakes on considering him a top coach.
Very true but thats because Killy most likely had superior talent at the other 21 positions on the field. It cracks me up when ND fans point to the fact they beat Dantonio!! Umm MSU is not ND, they get marginal at best talent, but yes Dantonio gets the most out of the limited talent. Look at all the NFL talent Killy has had drafted and what does ND have to show for it? Jaylon Smith, Ronnie Stanley and Will Fuller look back at their ND career and say what? We beat a heck of a Navy team? If you are a ND fan and not disappointed at Killy's results/accomplishments than you know nothing about the school, history, standards or expectations. You can only say next year so many years. Great coaches, change great programs around quickly, history proves that. Killy is not great. He is a above average coach that has attained above average results, nothing more.
Just got butterflies in my gut. Seeing Cash cranking up his act is a sure sign that kickoff is right around the corner. I can almost smell the fresh cut grass and hear the drum line warming up.
David TeelVerified account@DavidTeelatDP 1-on-1 w/Swoff: Says Notre Dame will receive full share of #ACCNetwork revenue, as opposed to the 1/5 share it gets from overall rights.
I tried to figure out for a few minutes what was going on. Then I read the posts by the ignored user and it made sense
another legit poster on ISD dropped this: Spoiler Quick Studstill/Crawford Tidbits I ran into a ND coach the other day, and without being THAT GUY that runs to a message board with everything an important person tells me, I will say that when I asked him about Devin Studstill he said, “LOVE him. He’s a Sunday player, no doubt.” Another coach (not a Saturday on-the-field coach) said that of all the players, the biggest weight-room beast who gets after it is Shawn Crawford. He wasn’t disparaging any other players, he was just marveling at the kid’s work ethic. The other coach chimed in that he studies film like no other and was primed to play a huge role last year before his injury, which devastated the coaching staff because they knew how special he is. TIFWIW.
Single game ticket sale sucked...MSU was sold out, only had singles for Stanford, any other game is a toss up b/c my baby is due Oct. 27, looks like dad and I will be heading down for the MSU game with no tickets.
I'm not too worried about it, but we were planning on trying to have the whole fam come down for that game. I have a feeling getting like 6 or even 3 and 3 together before the game would be a lot tougher than 2.
What do you guys think of the shamrock series uniforms unveiled today? They're ugly in my opinion. Im sure the recruits will like them though, so what do I know?
