Is there a good source/article on OC's rise from pdl (or w/e it was )to mls Wanna read about how my Austin aztex relocated to OC and got into the mls.
Oh hey we're back. Coach Heath been saying the guys are looking lively during practice and warm-ups. Excited for tonight.
Just now catching up on the game and through the first half they look damn good. We should play every game away
Maybe it is our attacking style but I have noticed a significant drop off in play at around the 60 minute mark. More so than most any other team I've watched. We are 6 games in and I've seen it happen 6 times, lazy fouls, bad traps. This is the first game we actually produced during the time we come out and dominate early, glad Lane was able to score to give us the edge instead of wasting all that good attack and being level when we being to slump late. Also why did Heath wait so long to sub? Consider what I just explained you'd think we'd get fresh legs in around the hour mark.
The team seems to have a real fitness problem. They have blown a lot of games late. Probably more a depth than fitness issue but something needs to be figured out.
Cheering for Larin and therefore you guys to do well. Purple unis + Kaka + Canadian top prospect = likable team
@Ben_Jata: Thinking back to #PORvORL. Orlando City could host passing clinics for half the teams in MLS. #OCSC
I don't think Heath has used all of his subs a few games either. Granted the bench isn't stellar sooo
If I remember correctly from the piece I heard from the coach's radio show, they are going to fly Brek directly to Columbus after the US game to give him an extra days rest. But didn't hint at anything more than the usual 'we will evaluate his fitness on gameday'.
No changes to the 11 from the win at Portland. 4321 Ricketts; Shea, Hines, Colin Ramos; Okugo, Higuita, Ceran, Kaka, Molino, and Larin. Not much on the subs bench tonight. Rochez, Rivas, Bolden, Heath, Turner, and Edwards (GK).
Nice little group of Orlando supporters here. Probably around 30-40 in the away section then others scattered about
That half went about as well as trying to stick a fork into light socket. Turner is going to get a nice run in the squad.
Hines, wtf was that! Ceren has no touch on long service. Just not playing well enough for long enough
Really think only the masochists among us are going tonight with so much going in the sporting world and not a well known opponent in a friendly. Speaking of friendlies; it will be West Brom on July 15th in the Citrus Bowl. Can not wait to hurl loads of abuse at Pulis.
It was a really late arriving crowd last night for some reason. At the peak; stadium was probably 60% full in the lower bowl.
He will forever have a special place in my heart. Also hope Lescott makes the trip and plays so I break out the He is top of the league song one last time.
Saw some good and a bunch of bad last night. It was hilarious watching Brek play a free attacking mid position. Oh it would be nice to score a goal from open play at home. 3 more set piece goals. We are truly a mini Stoke. Just need someone to launch some long throws into the box.
Molino is done for the year. Torn ACL. You know Phil; now would be a great time to get another attacker.
Donovan is alternate for U20 squad and will travel to New Zealand. Turner did not make the roster. Estrela got called up by Portugal for the U20 but Ramos did not. Reports are that he is going to Euro U21 instead.
Would have taken the draw before the match. Mighty nice of Okugo/Hines and Ramos to gift them their two goals. Higgy coming on might have been the difference maker. Very composed and kept the ball moving in the 2nd half.
Few thoughts from tonight. Respected them way too much. Neither Luke or Ramos were making overlapping runs nearly as much as in the past. Larin had his best match as a City player. A willing runner at times and did well in his hold up. Rewarded with a goal Boden has not lost his magic touch on his crosses into the box. Should have had a 2nd assist if EA would have kept his volley down. Rivas was playing a different tune from everyone else tonight. His 35 yard shot that landed near the corner flag was hilarious yet sad to see. Strange to see when he has been normally an impact sub. Higuita was fantastic when he came on. Seemed like he was everywhere at points in the 2nd half. Reading between the lines from post match quotes that Heath laid into the squad in the dressing room at the half. Not sure what Kaka issue is but he is appearing more and more frustrated in his actions. Non match related things $5.50 for a 20 oz bottle of Soda/Coke/Pop is a bigger rip off than the $10 can of piss they sell in the fan zone The lack of boos and Dos A Cero chants from the crowd towards Miguel Herrera when he was on the pitch prematch was disappointing. Another 27k in attendance tonight.
what is up with Kaka leaving in June some guy was talking about? Also has the momentum been lost with stumbling out of the gate and not being able to score goals and win games through the first part of the season?
