Bendik; Ramos, Mateos, Hines, Shea; Ceren, Higuita; Winter, Molino, Nocerino; Larin Edwards Jr., Redding, Alston, Carrasco, Rivas, Baptista, Barry
Oh look another possible soft tissue injury. Orlando Health getting back more of that sponsorship money.
So to recap Allow early goal Miss a wide open shot from 8 yard. But it was Nocerino so it does not really count. Molino scores from almost exactly the same spot as Nocerino missed from. Winter ran all over the place. Ceren could have been sent off in the first half. If not then; easily should have gone before 50th. Back 4 was clueless and appeared to be playing on roller skates the whole night. Molino off with a leg injury. Ref lost his yellow card at some point at the half but found it near the end Carrasco only player to not have sleeves on. 2 or 3 guys were wearing gloves. All 3 subs used before the 80th minute Rivas booked for running pass the goalkeeper Rivas scores in stoppage time with his really bad bleach blonde hair Bendik saves the day and the crossbar played it's part. Only 5:08 of the minimum of 6 minutes of stoppage time was played.
Trying to remember a time where a ref did not play the full allotment of stoppage time. They will play over the time or maybe blow 5-10 seconds early in a blowout.
Maybe the amount of ST was miscommunicated. I thought I saw a 5 on the broadcast but may have heard 6.
May have been. I missed on the broadcast as I was too busy trying to find a picture of Brek on roller skates. Spoiler no picture exist
http://www.stokecityfc.com/news/article/potters-partnership-with-mls-side-3099171.aspx Welcome home, City fans.
I'm really not looking forward to tonight. The entire backline is a failed experiment. The midfield has no idea how to play together. Nocerino is worse than Avila was last year. I'd really prefer to not see Higuita paired with Ceren again for a long time. Winter and Rivas need to be starting and Carrasco needs a place, because while not spectacular, at least he's fucking consistent and you know what you'll get from him. Big Dick Bendik has been tremendous. Now, if only we could get him some help.
Also no Winter in the 11. Kaka starts. Orlando City starting XI: Bendik; Shea, Hines, Mateos, Ramos; Ceren, Higuita, Nocerino; Kaka, Larin, Molino
Collin starts for them. A repeat of his first Orlando would be nice. Disappointed not to see SWP in their squad.
So Ramos is going to be sent off in the 2nd half. Probably should have gone for confronting the assistant late in the half or kicking the ball into the crowd
This falls squarely on Heath. 88th minute before the 1st sub. Rivas would have likely come on a couple of minutes earlier but still unacceptable. Kaka coming back from his 2nd injury already this season plays another 90 minutes. Nocerino plays a full 90 when a player like Winter is sitting on the bench. Unkel was inconsistent but the yellows that he had handed were correct. Ramos was lucky to stay on and to be honest I would have sent him off because he had two more cases of dissent after his yellow. Higuita's red is a red no matter the league even if we are playing by Turkish friendly standards. Remember the stories in the pre season about those two becoming more discplined and keeping emotions in check?
“I was pleased with the performance. I thought it would’ve been a travesty if we hadn’t have taken something out of the game. Can’t really remember Joe [Bendik] having a save to make, so it was a big improvement. On any different night I think we could’ve gone on and won the game,” Lions head coach Adrian Heath said. “Pleased with the performance, pleased with the effort and I think it gives us something to build on.” Clearly we watched a different match Adrian. Pleased with the performance and the effort? Something to build on? It is already a 1/4 of the way through the season and have won 1 out of 5 at home.
Adrian back at it again. “Anybody would think we were bottom of the league and haven't done anything, and to be honest with you, I'm getting a little bit annoyed about this ... bit of negativity,” Heath said. “I don't get why New York Red Bulls are having a great season and on the same amount of points as us, but somehow we're struggling. I don't get it. But I will keep defending what we're trying to do and the way the players are working. I couldn't ask any more of the guys.” “We had two forwards on the field,” Heath said. “My gut feeling after 35 years of doing this was, if we'd have put another forward on, we'd have probably got beat, and I didn't want that. We didn't deserve that. So we took something from the game. “There's a little bit of frustration, I can understand that. We haven't won as many games as we would have like, but when I look at the overall work, I think we're still OK.” Someone might want to remind him of the whole #defyexpectations stuff that the club and Phil are constantly using. They told us to raise our expectations and now that we have; they moan about a bit of negativity when the team has 2 matches in the first 9 of the season. 42 points is not getting you into the playoffs.
Here are some numbers I just ran on sub usage. Orlando Info First sub used is 63rd minute. Lowered due to Larin's injury against Portland and being subbed off in the 24th. The number climbs to 68. Second sub used is 70th minute. Home vs New York Red Bulls did not see a 2nd sub. Third sub used is 80th minute. It has only been used in 4 out of the 9 matches. Opponents Info First sub used is 60th minute. It is lowered due to RSL's red card sub in the 24th. It climbs to 63 without that sub. 9 out of 9 matches Second sub used is 73rd minute. 9 out of 9 matches Third sub used is 84:30. Used in 8 out of 9 matches. New England did not use the 3rd sub in their visit here.
BREAKING: Orlando City coach Adrian Heath suspended for Sporting Kansas City match http://www.orlandosentinel.com/spor...sporting-kansas-city-game-20160510-story.html
Might as well just write the 0 on the # of weeks that we have gone without a suspension or fine in permanent black marker.
What in the hell did I just watch? That was pathetic and embarrassing. Heath is probably lucky that he was suspended because that the kind of performance that turns the heat up really quick.
Some more details on the money behind the stadium. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/05/17/s...reign-investors-visas.html?smid=tw-share&_r=0
and another quick way to turn the fans against you....... Iron Lion Firm @IronLionFirm Not one single @OrlandoCitySC player came over and acknowledged the away support in Kansas City. No heart just like today's performance.
hahaha holy shit Paul Tenorio @PaulTenorio 19h19 hours ago Paul Tenorio Should loan out Nocerino ASAP. Maybe to a Serie B team without the resources to have seen him play in MLS. Paul Tenorio @PaulTenorio 19h19 hours ago As much as I was taking a shot there, I'm dead serious. Orlando City should look into shipping Nocerino. He's an awful fit for league/team.
There aren't many players in my life that I've thought were more useless than Nocerino. At least Mick always realized Stephen Hunt was shit for Wolves.
I don't enjoy watching this team anymore. I also lol when Brek doesn't play or comes out because the entire team goes to hell in a hand basket for some reason.
Isn't Norcerino the guy that Orlando fought DC for? Maybe they could sell him to Miami in NASL. They just bought some NASL player from Jax for 750K. Orlando DP selection game is terrible outside Kaka.
This team sucks. Plain and simple. Time to take action and quit defending it. God knows the fans have.
Quote from Heath. “They deserve better than we gave them,” Heath said. “We didn't reciprocate, we didn't do our side. Everybody, we let them down . . . and I apologize, but we're going to need them. They've never let us down in past, and I want it to be same at the weekend.” Spoiler There are going to be so many red cards
So lets recap Paul McDonough is replaced by Carneiro effectively. People throw giant hissy fit because Carneiro cleans house of dead weight. Carneiro leaves under the guise of "personal" reasons because Flavio and Phil did not have a spine to tell certain people to suck it up. "Things didnt feel right" is a bullshit excuse. 2 horrible signings in Alston (who) and the giant Italian mistake that we had to break the rules to sign. Bendik has filled the Tally Hall role as lord and savior 1 of the 3 DPs is loaned to the reserves because he is a moron Fluke draw in the home opener without any of the DPs taking part Come from behind draw hang on to win at City Lite 2nd annual beatdown of the MLS Cup winner Lose thanks to offsides goal with no subs being made until the 91st minute Handball goal that could have made up for the offsides goal but getting Pro'd for a draw Get beat in New Jersey because we are mentally weak and cant let a bad call go Come from behind to get a draw on the road Oh look another home draw where player can not keep his cool and not gets sent off. Coach whines in the media about the fans being critical of his under performing squad. The worst performance in the US for this club. The 4-0 at Toronto last season was worst. The highest paid player in the league has only been healthy for half of the season. Hey atleast he is not MIA. The other DP on the roster has played 131 minutes. Our high energy attacking mid has been relegated to spectator because the mistake trains well. Big whoop. 2nd season in a row that we have crap all over ourselves in April and May. Nothing has changed from last season. It is pretty sad that three players have improved from last season and that is because 2 of them had very limited playing time.
