Well it's finally happening. I had seen reports this morning of that but I had also seen reports from Italy expecting him to be training with Juve on Monday.
I could see us lining up like this: CarrollPayet - Lanzini - Ayew Noble - Kouyate or Carroll - AyewPayet - Lanzini - Fegouhli Noble Can Ayew play up top as a sole striker? We've had success with quick, shifty strikers (Diafra Sakho) cutting in and receiving through balls from Payet/Lanzini. It's a good change of pace from Carroll. If he can, I could see the first lineup above with him in for Carroll and Fegouhli or Tore on the right wing.
It was where he had his most success. You can play him wide, but he won't stay there. He just keeps coming into the middle
FactsRule can probably provide better input but in my opinion he can play as a sole striker but that's not his preference nor where you'd get the most out of him. Put him out wide and he just doesn't deliver and is constantly out of position. He likes to drift and play inside, seems best suited for a number 10 role as a shadow striker or attacking midfielder.
Yeah, Ayew doesn't seem to want to be a center forward. He also won't stay wide when he's playing that wing role. He really would probably be best used as a No. 10 type. That diamond formation gave him some freedom to run around, but he was more productive when we ran him out there as the striker in the 4-2-3-1 at the end of the season. Long story short, trading him for Llorente + Borja + maybe some additional cash has got to be the best move for the swans. I hope West Ham can make use of him because he does make some really nice passes and can finish too.
If that's the case, I could see us playing Carroll or Ayew up top, alone, for an equal number of minutes. We needed to sign two strikers this window. I think Ayew probably counts as one of those, and hopefully Bacca next.
Mahrez was pictured checking into the Chelsea official hotel which is basically connected to our stadium. I haven't heard anything about us going for him but maybe Kante thinks we need more in the attacking midfield
It's official. Video in link. Manchester United @ManUtd 2m2 minutes ago REUNITED: http://bit.ly/2aMXkmp#POGBACK
Last one. I mean it this time. utdreport @utdreport 6m6 minutes ago Juventus announce that Pogba fee is €105m + €5m in add ons. To be paid over 2 years #mulive utdreport @utdreport 38s39 seconds ago Official: Paul Pogba is the most expensive footballer ever
Saw this on Facebook: United will pay Juventus £30m a season over 3 years for Pogba. Good business considering that's what Liverpool pay Southampton every year.
Free transfer from Le Havre to United. Then free from United to Juventus. Just remember that, you astute businessmen.
Honestly couldn't care less about the price right now. Saw a graphic that Pogba isn't even United's largest purchase as a percentage of revenue, and that was with an assumed fee of £100m. Largest purchase was Rio Ferdinand back in 2002.
Only right RussianFootballNews @RusFootballNews 9h9 hours ago Ex Arsenal (London) and Ufa midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong is close to signing for recent promoted RPL side Arsenal (Tula).
Chelsea have supposedly given up on Lukaku and are moving on to Icardi. John Terry could learn a thing or two from Mauro about being an asshole. Even JT didn't get a tattoo of Wayne Bridge's kids.
Team United. Pogba leaving for free to Juve is a sunk cost. If you want the player now you go get him. For the super clubs the fee is almost irrelevant anyway.
If Pogba can give United 8-10 years of play anywhere near the level of Scholes then it will be money well spent imo.
We have more cash than we've ever had and there is a decent chance we might receive $100,000,000 more than we spend this transfer window. We're the new Arsenal, except we will finish 14th every year instead of 4th. Ill take the ultra homer view and say that he plays the same role as Kante and was chosen by the same scout that brought him to Leicester. I just hope he's good enough to warrant buying his jersey so I can show off my Gueye pride.
He was highly rated in France and I think it's unfair to judge any of the Villa signings solely off of last season's trainwreck. It'll be interesting to see how he does for you guys.
The fact that Tim Sherwood fancied him makes me fear the worst. With Besic being out 6 months, Gareth Barry being 67 years old and James McCarthy's addiction to the training table he'll certainly get to play a lot.
I avoided every Villa match except for two but he was behind only Kante as far as interceptions in midfield. Granted, there were tons of opportunities to break up opposition attacks at Aston Villa last season so that may have played a part.
Even with the flaming gay boat crest, looking forward to Nike Tottenham gear for the first time. I did enjoy UA though.
