If Juventus keeps Pogba and rolls with Fam and Pjanic in the midfield with Marchisio, that would be Tyte
Big sane Leroy Sané is about to become a new player of Manchester City. Fee unknown, but probably in the region of £40m. [Marca]
Peps biggest problem is going to be finding spots on the field for all the players they will have. They are going to be 3 deep at some positions
Call me skeptical of Marca breaking news about a German player joining an English team. Their squad is thin af right now.
Maybe thin by Arsenal/man city standards. Most teams have maybe 2-3 subs that are first team quality. I still expect city to by another midfielder or 2, 2 defenders and an attacker. Add that to the current team and that's a lot of depth
Depends on if he can get something out of Nasri, Sterling, Navas, and Mangala or if he just says they suck and moves on. Can't imagine Pep is very optimistic with what he's inheriting compared to what he's used to.
I understand your point if you are assuming they all get sold off but if city buy first and are basically in a position where everyone knows they have to sell people then I don't think they will get fair value. Might not matter to them but I haven't heard too much about players leaving city
Mostly just saying that I don't view City as deep bc they suck. That plus a mess at fullback and Kompany being broken
Yeah he tears the shit out of them. Was funny watching him walk around and shake hands after with half his ass hanging out.
L'Equipe is reporting that Raphael Guerrero to BVB is done for 12 million euro. Kid is awesome... great value.
ESPNFC saying that Liverpool has accepted a $5.5m bid for Skrtel from Fenerbahce. Not a bad haul for Liverpool for a spare part that is both old and spent a lot of time with injury last season.
Saw something in the london evening standard that said Real Madrid might make a play for payet. Everyone knows they like to sign the best player at tournaments like this. Not sure west ham sell him though. They have the marketable star they need going into the new stadium and he has a new 5 yr contract that's only a few months old.
Doesn't fit their system which is the reason James may very well be on the way out. Plus he's already 29, no thanks.
West Ham would be smart to sell Payet right now. He's 29 and in the form of his life on a world-wide stage. Somebody is going to try and overpay for him and they should take the deal. That, or West Ham should keep Payet and throw more money at Lyon for Lacazette and try to win now.
I don't see any reason for West Ham to sell Payet unless it's like 100mil. The TV money is so big that they're not struggling at all. They're moving into a new stadium and are in Europe, selling Payet would screw with all the positives happening there right now
Swansea City have officially sold Alberto Paloschi to Atalanta after having him with us for a whole 4 and a half months. 6mil is the fee so the Swans will be eating a 2mil loss. Just an expensive loan.
Huw Jenkins and the club dont feel like he will be able to knock in goals consistently in the premier league. Also Guidolin has no say on transfers, it's comical really. He can recommend players to buy or be sold but Huw has the final word.
Coaches having a say is really only a premier league thing. At the rate they are replaced they really shouldn't have much of a say.
I normally disagree with this sentiment across sports in general but you are right. These coaches last maybe 2 years. Need to build a team with a long term vision. No premier league coach except wenger really has that luxury. That said, I really do think the coach and whoever is picking these players need to have a good relationship unless you are a real/barca type club who can just spend over any mistakes made in the transfer market
What is Payet's ambition? He is almost 30 and probably would love the opportunity to play in the Champions League and could force a move.
sport is reporting that samuel umtiti will undergo a medical for barcelona after the euro cup. so take that for what it's worth
I'm not sure, but if that was his ambition, he shouldn't have signed the new deal right as the season ended. It's not like Champions League teams are just now finding out about him, and he needed Euros to showcase what he can do.
Payet seems to thrive as the focal point, not sure how he'd do as just another cog in the wheel. Not sure any big club besides maybe PSG or United would allow him all the freedom he has currently for West Ham and France. Of course as mentioned, the porn kings would probably want a ridiculous fee that doesn't make sense for his age.
Lots of rumours that Kante is leaving Leicester and they will sign Nampalys Mendy as his replacement.
still the Arsenal rumors, or something different? edit to add: also, I'm really curious to see what Mendy's price tag is. Kante's performance last year probably drove up the price for players with similar skillsets.
oh yea. I forgot about that. L'Equipe keeps posting quotes from Wenger about how much he loves Kante. I've always just assumed he'd end up there. If PSG gets involved though, he'll prolly end up in Paris.
