I feel like a GGG/Ward fight wouldn't draw anywhere near the money that a Canelo fight would or even a Cotto fight. Ward needs his upcoming fight AN one more to exhibit that he's still got it and get people talking about him again. GGG/Canelo would just be one of the all-time greats....
I don't think Canelo's management will allow him to fight Golovkin any time soon... They warned him against Mayweather and he didn't listen, I think he will wait to fight Golovkin for a bit. Ward-Golovkin is the best possible fight in boxing, IMO.

Thrilled Chocalatito made a huge impression in his first HBO fight. That dude is a goddamn monster, and a legit P4P option. I don't know how big a star a 112 lb fighter can be in this day and age, but we're about to find out. He is must-see TV.
GGG did GGG stuff. Impressive performance. Willie Monroe Jr. is a solid fighter, and GGG just fucked with him for 6 rounds. That's absurd. I'm not sure there's a bad option for GGG among the big fighters. Interested to see who steps up and takes on the challenge though. GGG/Cotto at MSG or Barclays would be big, GGG/Canelo at like Staples Centers would be a monster. Going to wait and see what Andre Ward looks like in his return before I consider him for GGG. Either way, Golovkin is a star and so damn good. That post fight interview was great. Also, this gif is terrifying:

I don't think Golovkin "fucked with" Monroe... That's the kind of stuff we would laugh at when Mayweather would say he just wanted to give the fans an entertaining fight against Cotto or Maidana... Monroe threw a curve ball at GGG and decided to stand toe to toe with him instead of allowing Golovkin to load up on shots while he backed away... That negated some of Golovkin's power and allowed Monroe to land some decent shots... Y'all motherfuckers under Golovkin's charming spell if you believe he said to himself, "I'ma tear my face up a bit and let this guy land some shots to entertain my peoples."
Almost no power, though. He landed some good shots on Golovkin, but never came close to hurting him... His record further proves the point (6KO's in 20 fights)

Just watching it, it felt like GGG was carrying Monroe at times to get rounds. And what also allowed Monroe to land some decent shots is GGG coming in hands down like he just didn't care, and shrugging every shot off. Looked like he was in complete control, and that the fight would go as long or as short as he wanted it to. He can't pull some of the same stuff against Canelo or Ward, but at the Forum in front of a pro-GGG crowd and Willie Monroe, absolutely.
Loeffler says the plan for GGG is to stay busy until they land a big one. He'll fight again in September in Mexico, England or Germany, then back in the US in December.

I think GGG took it a bit easy to get rounds but she still took some big shots for no reason. I think a good boxer with power would end this streak. I want to see him fight Ward or Canelo, I think he would put Canelo down.
