It's looking that way. From what I've been reading, it's the Blackhawks that want to keep him down another year because they don't need centers and don't have much cap room atm.
Im worried like hell that could backfire. That he will get closer to being a senior and then just pick his team as an UFA and Blackhawks wont get fair compensation. I had read his family wanted him to stay thru junior year like his older brother regardless, but it def could me financials on the team's end.
StanBo emphasizing need for prospects to advance up to NHL Chris Hine@ChristopherHine Bowman mentions Mark McNeill, Ryan Hartman, Tanner Kero Vincent Hinostroza, Tyler Motte as some forwards that are "in the mix" for Hawks. Mark LazerusVerified account@MarkLazerus Bowman says defenseman Ville Pokka took the next step this season. "Trending" in the right direction toward the NHL. #Blackhawks Chris Hine@ChristopherHine Bowman said Trevor van Riemsdyk is the example of "growth from within." Said TVR took the "next step."
Chris Hine@ChristopherHine Shaw: "It's the business of hockey. It sucks, but I want to be back here."
Igor Eronko @IgorEronko It appears Artem Anisimov won't join #TeamRussia, he needs a surgery #BlackHawks
Brian Hedger@BrianHedger #Blackhawks agree to terms with North Dakota F Luke Johnson, yet another Shaw type.
Dude has no future. Maybe some Rasmussen like play in 3 years. Between Ladue to LA and Johnson to ND maybe Schmaltz thinks about leaving tho so the signing has impact.
Igor Eronko @IgorEronko Couple of highlights from my interview with Panarin: Our line played pure imrovisation. We had some tactics, but i didn't know it #Blackhawks Igor Eronko @IgorEronko 2h2 hours ago Couple of highlights from my interview with Panarin: Our line played pure imrovisation. We had some tactics, but i didn't know it #Blackhawks http://www.sport-express.ru/hockey/world/reviews/995507/
what the fuck is she talking about? The team is losing fans after winning a cup last year? Is this bitch on drugs?
so Anisimov has needed wrist surgery for three years and finally got it fixed... that was interesting tidbit from that interview also fuck google translate because its still nearly impossible to understand
It was pretty good but like a lot of Hawks blogs, seemed to have become too self righteous for their own good.
It always created some pretty funny photoshops, but the bloggers/commenters were so tightly linked it kind of read like you were on the outside of an inside joke at all times. I'm a barstool guy and it felt culty to me, which says a lot. Granted, I looked at it probably 20 times ever (always from linked tweets).
Can't imagine closing down shop over Garrett Ross being a scumbag and Patrick Kane false accusations. Nonsense way to draw attention.
The "is a former attorney" in all of her pieces and twitter bio sends me through the fucking roof. So does the fact that she now spends as much time writing about all of the insults directed to her online as she does writing about sports.
That was also ridiculous. People on twitter are fucking retarded, but Jimmy Kimmel already has already done this bit. DiCaro and Spain get abused on twitter, but so does everyone else that puts themselves in the public spotlight.
I don't think that women journalists should be called cunts just because they have twitter accounts, but she's also unbelievably condescending on twitter. While not as crude as twitter trolls, she still dishes it out.
I agree, but my point is everyone gets abuse that has twitter accounts. I'm sure there's horrible anti-semetic stuff on Dan Bernstein's timeline, racist crap on Jason Goff's timeline. Oh what a shock, people get abused on twitter, lets make a movie about it, it'll be so insightful.
yea Im like what is she actually producing? What does she actually do? It kills me. And somehow formerly being an atty gives her credibility. Her sole purpose is to look for social causes to ring alarms about, even if their false. She lost her shit during Kane-gate when ppl suggested the 'victim's' account didn't add up, while also acting like she was faced with sexism.
She also was getting fed information straight from the accusers attorney and then passing it on over the airwaves as fact. Notice as soon as that attorney dumped the accuser after the bag fiasco her information dried up immediately?
Making sports games, commentary, and fandom socially conscious/PC/trigger-free is easily the worst thing to happen in the last 6 years. This look at me activist journalism needs to die. Dicaro, hell even Chris Hine a BEAT REPORTER making himself a part of the Shaw story. Just gross.
The Chicago Blackhawks are "very close" to signing top KHL free agent Michal Kempny, reports Igor Eronko of Sport-Express. Eronko says the news comes from Barry Smith, the Blackhawks' director of player development, which makes it sound like a deal is all but certain at this point. Kempny, 25, is considered one of the top players available out of the KHL, Russia's top hockey league, this year. After starring with HC Kometo Brno of the Czech league in his early 20s and making the leap to Avangard Omsk of the KHL in 2015-16, he quickly acclimated himself as one of the top blue liners in the league. In 59 games with Avangard Omsk, Kempny recorded five goals and 16 assists. He was tied for 24th among all KHL defenseman in points. Kempny also regularly plays internationally for the Czech Republic, and earned an alternate captain's label for the 2016 World Championships. He's expected to be on the Czech roster for the upcoming World Cup of Hockey later this year. Last month, Darren Dreger reported that several teams were pursuing Kempny and the Blackhawks were "in the mix." Given the team's need for defensemen and the lack of options due to their salary cap situation, signing Kempny would be a strong, low-risk move that could really work out. Then again, it's worth noting that the defenseman who led the KHL in points this season was Cam Barker. While the last player the Hawks nabbed out of the KHL might end up winning the Calder Trophy this year, Artemi Panarin has proven to be special in countless ways. Kempny is undoubtedly an intriguing talent and a solid flier for the Hawks to take, but it would be a miracle if this signing worked out as well as that one.
Darling was talking about him on Pardon My Take the other day and was very complimentary. Great locker room guy.
50 and I are the Mike Milbury/Roenick of Russian message board posting. http://inoprokhl.ru/khl/poklonniki-chikago-blekhouks-o-perehode-v-komandu-artemiya-panarina.html
While thread is bumped: Shaw on a Kruger 1 year deal (and I'll hate it- need to let Hartman or Motte take that spot for $$ reasons) Kempny signs 875K + TOI bonuses and plays a competent Oduya replacement but he'll be hated by Hawks fans Toews has a fuck you season to silence haters Schmaltz signs late summer like his brother did with STL. Hawks won't even get a sniff on Vesey. Would keep on eye on Shipachev and Dadonov as well.
Craig Custance @CraigCustance 6m6 minutes ago Told that defenseman Michal Kempny's deal with the Blackhawks is done. @ByScottPowers first to report it was close.
CapFriendly @CapFriendly 21m21 minutes ago #CapFriendly CONFIRMED Michal Kempny #Hawks 1 yr ELC - $700,00 cap hit + $225,000 GP bonuses + $212,500 'A' bonuses + Euro Assignment clause
so euro clause means he goes back free of charge if he doesnt make the team? could be a crowded situation for GP if Pokka is on schedule to make the club. Gustaffson will still get his fair share of game. Forsling probly another yr away.
