Hawks currently have 3.04M in summer 10% overflow room. With Kruger and Oduya both assumed to be coming back now based on them still being FA and Kruger not going to arbitration, I'm going to assume they have deals done. Then, it follows that both their deals are worth more than 3.04M or they would have signed by now. If that's the case I'm very worried about that Kruger contract.
I don't like either but they aren't disasters. You could move them in a year. I think Oduya still has 2 really good years in him. I wouldn't go over 2.5x3 for Kruger. I hate paying bottom 6 players.
I think Oduya has two good years too but that is alot of money they don't have. Kruger needs to come in below 2.5 or I'm not happy. He is very good at what he does but what he does isn't enough for that much. Especially with Toews/AA/Dano/Teuvo/Desi/Nordstrom/Danault who are all signed centers by trade + Shaw.

whats this about? seems like it should read, "a player condition to renew NTC yet to be approved by FLA" b/c NTC in hockey contracts cease to exist once the player waives his NTC in a prior trade. Sharp might want FLA to give him a NTC going forward.
