I agree. He needs to be built up though; I don't see how they could tell a proper Darkseid story in the origin movie of the JL. That needs to be a sequel story.
Still not fully sold on Eisenberg as Luthor, and will always dislike the Clark Kent secret identity by just wearing glasses. But still looks good and a visual wonder.
Couple thoughts: 1. Not as impressed with that as I was the first trailer. Which makes sense, since the first trailer was basically visuals (something Snyder is probably the best in the business at putting on screen.) 2. I understand where Eisenberg is going with his Luthor to really separate his personality from Bruce. Not sure he can do it without crossing over into campy villain territory. 3. Not a fan of what I've seen of Cavill's Clark Kent. Granted, it's only one scene, but Reeves was brilliant at using his physical acting and mannerisms to make people buying it as at least slightly believable. Cavill looks like Superman standing there talking with glasses on. 4. Still think Affleck knocks Batman out of the park. 5. Fine with Doomsday as the villain. My guess would be Brainiac for JL, who hints at Darkseid. Overall, I think I'll still love the movie, but I'm more cautious about my expectations than after the first trailer.
Hate trailers that give so much away. They basically laid out the whole movie. I guess it was predictable anyway, but still.
It's a part of the whole Superman with his army guys who kneel in front of him and he unmasks Bruce. Has to be a nightmare sequence that Bruce is having.
Not sure whether I loved or hated the music. I guess that goes with how I feel about most of what has been released from this movie.
I'll still probably see it, but that trailer looked really cheesy considering the darker tone they are going for
Shit is gonna translate to shit...sorry man A real version would've been much more fitting for the dark vibe this movie was trying to fit
I agree with those saying the visuals are dark and grim but the script seems light and cheesy. Weird.
After watching the second trailer, I can honestly say that Affleck is probably way down the list of potential problems. That trailer looks like the nightmare scenario a lot of people envisioned once Snyder got involved with this material. A bunch of shitty CGI crap with absolutely no nuance or human feel to it. The idea of them trying to go dark at all is now a total joke. Not saying you have to go dark, but it definitely seems like everything else they've released up until now has been an effort to sway perceptions that way. This trailer is like a Michael Bay superhero movie. Putting Jason Vorhees in this universe is inspired, though.
I thought the new trailer for BvS was extremely cartoonish/tongue-in-cheek. Didn't look too exciting IMO. The most compelling sequences were Kent and Wayne with Luthor. Luthor himself looks to be the best character.
Good thing civil war will be coming out a couple months later to wash the bad taste out if this is a shit sandwich.
New synopsis for Suicide Squad. Certainly making it seem like they are going after Joker, but it could be a red herring. I think we might only see Joker in flashbacks until the end. It feels good to be bad…Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself? http://comicbook.com/2015/12/15/new-suicide-squad-movie-synopsis-released/ Just because:
Love that WW poster. Really wish they'd do a Batman poster with the normal suit since it's the best onscreen version to date.
I've got Jared Leto in my 2016 death pool http://theconcourse.deadspin.com/wi...source=deadspin_twitter&utm_medium=socialflow
what is Badguy Patrol? also, that seems like an attempt at viral marketing to me, but maybe I'm just jaded by the past season of South Park. edit - after reading the whole thing, it's definitely bullshit.
