Also Afflec talked about his upcoming solo movie and said he wanted to really explore Batman as a detective. He even name dropped The Maltese Falcon.

cliffs on what we know so far: Spoiler No Superman for at least the first two acts. He has longer hair upon his reappearance. two scenes were screened: One featured Bruce visiting Barry Allen's apartment, revealing himself as Batman and exposing Allen as Flash (Allen says of a photo of him speeding around "you must have me confused with some other very attractive Jew boy"). The other scene featured Gordan hitting the Bat-signal and meeting all the heroes thus far (Batman, Flash, Cyborg and Wonder Woman). They talk for a bit about parademons hunting for motherboxes before splitting. Apparently all the heroes except for Flash do the "batman vanish" and Flash looks around, left alone, and calls them "super rude." Also Flash makes a crack about how if Cyborg is coming along they're not all going to fit in Batman's car. Batman tells him he brought along a bigger ride (the "Nightcrawler" which was shown off to the press). Steppenwolf is the villain (along with Parademons) and is trying to secure three motherboxes (one is in Atlantis and one is in Themyscira; I assume the other is in Metropolis and is the one we saw Stone using in BvS) Flash is the source of much humor Still serious in tone, but there's more humor to be found. William DeFoe plays Aquaman's mentor. His costume has scales (they go all-in on embracing the Atlantis look from the comics; nothing like Fox/X-Men where they "modernize" everything and make it all look bland and stupid Cyborg's suit is almost fully-CG. He makes an appearance in a little of what was screened to the press but his suit (and all the CG) was obviously missing, since the shoot has only been going on for a couple weeks. Flash goes through a few different suit variants before he settles on a traditional-looking costume. Batman's suit apparently is tweaked too, but reports differ on the extent Everyone is praising Geoff Johns. He really should have been made the DC Kevin Feige from the outset. The movie is a stand-alone (although it's also called the third part in the quasi-trilogy with MoS and BvS). Talk of "part one" and "part two" was misconstrued. Those were placeholder titles to show that DC/WB had two JL movies in development. Presumably Darkseid will be the villain of the 2019 JL movie. Everyone has emphasized that this movie will tell a complete story with no major cliffhanger (though it will allow for the story to continue, as is the norm in comic book movies these days) prediction: Act one involves rounding up the heroes, Act two features them getting beaten by Steppenwolf, Act three features the return of Superman who helps the heroes win logo:
Really good idea for WB to do damage control on this and release the set visits so soon. Cautiously optimistic based on these reports especially the two scenes they described. Can't help but get the visual of Lucy yanking the football away from Charlie Brown though. The Barry/Bruce scene definitely reads like the Peter/Tony stuff in Civil War.
No that's the beast like creature, Kalibak or something. Steppenwolf is Darkseid's general, think he's in Superman Animated Series b
http://uproxx.com/gammasquad/the-cw-netflix-availabilty/ Holy fuck Netflix pays a lot for CW programming.
Steppenwolf is Darkseid's nephew if memory serves. He's like his right hand man and top military general.
He's actually Darkseid's uncle. Definitely liked pretty much everything I read about Justice League today. Like everyone has said, WB obviously wants to try to stop or at least slow down the negative tailspin.
I just noticed this trend on Netflix, its great that shows go up shortly after the season finishes instead of right before the new season.
Agreed. I think his work in both the films we mentioned showed he has incredible range. Honestly, I was a little skeptical when he was cast as Barry because I love Grant Gustin so much in the role on TV, but the description of his scenes so far in JL combined with me seeing more of his work have caused me to jump on board.
David Ayer tweeted the other day that Suicide Squad is finished. Final trailer is rumored to be release at ComicCon next month
I think they're screening the movie at Comic Con. There's really no reason to release a trailer there anyway since it'll be 2 weeks from release.
I actually enjoyed BvS. With that said, I also think the "Ultimate Cut" was much better and helped a lot of the pacing issues.
Is the extended cut, ultimate edition available on Apple the rated R good version? Gonna buy it if that's it.
I thought the extra footage helped with the pacing of the first half. But god damn, how do you edit out the security footage clip of Batman breaking into Lex Corp, and how in the FUCK do you edit out Batman telling Lex he's being transferred to Arkham?
Ya it makes no sense. All the cut scenes helped with the plot and the flow of the film. WB just had to fuck with it.
To show that Lex was having them killed in prison but acting like it was all because of Batman. Clark got those pics from Lex. It was to get him pissed at Batman. He was the judge jury executioner in Clarks eyes.
Of course Geoff Johns should've been put in charge from the get go. Anyone who watches the TV or animated stuff could've told their execs this.
This guy Hopefully they go all in on it and don't try to modernize the costume and make it bland for him, like that planted "set visit" piece so eloquently put it.
Just watched the extended cut. Still not perfect but much better. The movie pace was good and it felt like a better movie.
this BvS ultimate edition is so much better. the pacing/editing solves so many problems with the original.
