EvertonVerified account@Everton Everton Football Club regrets to announce that Roberto Martinez has left his position as First Team Manager with immediate effect.
Big Sam if you can convince him the project is worthwhile. He might be better off in Sunderland based off yesterday's performance, though.
My favorite metric for judging how good a hire is to see how upset the fans of his previous job are to see the manager leave. I'm no Ajax expert but I'm guessing they aren't too bummed about his departure.
NBC Sports Soccer @NBCSportsSoccer Report: Everton make move for Jose Mourinho. Is he up for the challenge of rebuilding #EFC? wp.me/p2g4vo-1ztC I know he's a good coach but he's also a twat, so people that know this sport better than I, tell me what to think
He's a fantastic coach that will get a good defense there. I think the big thing about that hire would tell you more about Morishi's mindset of making us a winner.
Random but pretty cool that Tony Bellew (guy who played the Everton-clad boxer in Creed) is actually fighting at Goodison in a couple of weeks.
Lukakus dad says that he thinks Rom will have his transfer done by the start of the Euro's. He also said that he "hopes" his agent is an honest man. I can tell you with the utmost certainty that he is not, Mr. Lukaku.
wasnt his dad the one who said he would never play for a lowly club like everton? that being said I hope the 65 mil number he throws around is right
His agent said that he wishes he had been his agent before he moved to Everton so he could have prevented him from doing it. The guy should be thanking Everton for having so much patience in his client and letting him develop so he can get millions of dollars for doing basically nothing.
Mourinho is supposedly wanting to spend big money on Stones again this summer. I'm guessing he didn't watch too many of our matches during his sabbatical.
Lukaku is really starting to get on my nerves. He said that he will speak to the new investor Moshiri "and is willing to hear him out of respect" which is just so kind of him despite only having three years left on his contract. He said he wants to win titles and developed that urge during his time at Chelsea (even though he never scored a goal for them.) He also said that nobody in Belgium follows Everton which I find hard to believe considering it's such a tiny country and has had one of their own playing for them every year for the past 8 seasons.
Rom just scored in Switzerland. He should play in the Swiss League because he's rather prolific over there. I'm curious what kind of if any interaction Shani Grasshopper had/will him with him today.
Dude, Rom is leaving. Quit acting like a scorned bitch and be happy for the money and goals we got out of him.
I don't even think its petulant. He made his goals clear when he arrived. Gave three years to get there and we didn't get it done.
Lukaku was my favorite player even before I became an Everton fan. And remember he knocked out the USMNT in the World Cup. We have a complicated thing so allow me to grieve in my own way if you don't mind. The thing that has irked me in the last week is that it's pretty clear he wants to go to Chelsea or Manchester United and neither of them will be in the Champions League which has been his whole reason why Everton weren't worthy of his services.
And I just think he would be making a terrible career choice by going to either of them. He should be looking to go to a club like PSG, Dortmund or Atletico Madrid IMO. Or Bayern if Lewandowski leaves.
With Juan Mata almost certainly looking for a new club, I'd be delighted if we could get him. Such an adorable man.
We're being linked with one of my least favorite players. Jack Grealish. Douchiest looking player on the planet. He doesn't deserve to escape the hell Villa have put themselves in.
He looks like he should be in one of the lesser popular boy bands from the mid 90's. And he would be dubbed "the bad boy" of the group. I just want to punch his face.
Everyday that goes by without hiring a manager, we are screwing ourselves. So many teams are getting business done while we sit on our asses. There are at least five players we ought to be exhiling and it will take a while to find better replacements. And we're going to need to find at least two decent strikers and a first team worthy goalkeeper.
Townsend sends like a player we would try to sign. Mitrovic is someone I would give a shot to if not for him being a crazy person. I think he could dominate in the championship. But he will be targeted by every "hard man" in the entirie league to try and wind him up.
Sporting in Portugal is apparently interested in Mitro. Some think Townsend may be willing to stay for a season, but I'm skeptical
