Also this http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/jose-mourinho-investigated-by-police-after-1530962 Apparently he kicked a fan in the butt and his bodyguard threw the fan's phone to the ground after repeated requests for a photo were denied
Apparently Valdes will not re-up his contract. He'll be gone in 18 months. Curious to see where we would go after that. There's been reports saying we're keen on de Gea.
What in the fucking fuck? "Lionel Messi and Barcelona fell from the top of the Associated Press Global Football Rankings this week and were replaced by rivals Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid." AP Global Soccer Rankings for the week ending Jan. 20 (previous rankings in parentheses): Players: 1. Cristiano Ronaldo, (8), 115 points. 2. Paul Pogba, 99. 3. David Silva, 62. 4. Gonzalo Castro, 51. 5. Lionel Messi, (1), 42. 6. Angel di Maria, 38. 7. Robin van Persie, (2), 36. 8. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 33. 9. Giampaolo Pazzini, 32. 10. (tie) Edinson Cavani, 23. 10. (tie). De Gea will be a good one. He's young, has work to do, but he's such a great shot stopper. And that list makes sense if its just who played well over the weekend, if thats what the rankings are supposed to be
Hmmm it appears it is a weekly thing, which really doesn't make any sense. I don't understand the point of doing that.
As a Liverpool fan Im fine with Barca taking Pepe as he hasnt been on top of his game lately and been getting injured a bit more. As a Barca fan I would prefer him to stay at Liverpool. Im torn...
What's the injury situation? If it's little stuff I guess I don't have much of a problem with it as Pinto is an adequate backup.
Its been mostly little knocks and what not. I feel like we have had Brad Jones between the posts more this year than previous years, though I could be wrong. Either way, its been hit or miss with Pepe so far this season. He has missed on some saves that he should have made as well as made some saves that I wouldn't have thought he could have. In a completely uneducated opinion, I think the major draw that Barca have for Pepe is that he comes from the academy there. If he didn't have that connection then we might not be having this discussion. But again, thats just a personal opinion.
http://www.usatoday.com/story/sport...ebarak-gerard-pique-fc-barcelona-son/1857139/ Need Cesc to get crackin so all the Jr's. can be dominating the Camp Nou pitch in 18 years.
Madrid without Ramos, Pepe, Casillas, Di Maria and Coentrao. I think a win is a must since they will be basically full strength (minus Casillas) for the second leg.
Obviously best case scenario is taking a couple goal lead back but I'd accept a draw and be happy abt it
That's so hilarious. They play us so well though. Play like shit against everyone else. I am honestly think they will beat us in the second leg of the Copa del Rey.
It's not that they play us so well, it's that they play us differently. They're superior talent wise to every non barca team in la liga that they try to out skill them but they're such a cluster fuck all around that they're struggling with the finished product. Against barca they become much more physical and attempt to goad them into a scrap, which it generally becomes.

Boo. I didn't see anything happen but it was weird he got subbed off in stoppage. Shouldn't hurt too much.
